Polynesian Cultural Center

You can tell this area is aimed towards the tourist. The center is a beautifully constructed to give you an idea of how each of the polynesian countries are like. Each "country" is staffed by students from there. They are all very nice and have the aloha spirit. Walk around and can get painted tattoos each with their own meanings however, if you sweat it will come off. Be careful when going to the bathroom, it is labeled Wahine and Kane. Wahine is for girls and kane is for guys. The luau is great. The food is exceptional and a buffet style. Upon entering, you are given a lei and you can take a picture which can be purchased later on. They will also help you take a picture with your own camera which will save you money.

Polynesian Cultural Center is so boring. It was not worth my time, money, and gas. This place is really far away from town. The sights are not fun. It gets really hot so my advice is to bring a water bottle if you do go. The shows are okay but you can get them on tape. It may be fun for kids; they are amazed at almost anything though. They have an IMAX theatre but they dont show good films.

We want to go back to Oahu just to come back to this place. We did not leave ourselves enough time during our first visit to take in all the sights here. They hire people from around the world to work here. They put in demonstrations and shows in villages created to resemble ones you'd find around the Pacific. It was fascinating and beautiful. you can end your day here with a luau (costs extra.) It was delicious tropical fun. you must come here if you visit Oahu.
