Garrett's is always my first choice of where to eat in town. We go there for birthdays, when family is in town, for drinks, anything! The wine list is great and staff is always willing to give knowledge and advice on their favorites. The food is outstanding and I always have a hard time deciding what to get. Great place to go out with girlfriends or on a date. Even better place to take parents when you are paying cause they get a great experience that is not expensive! Keep it up Garrett's!

I had never been to this place before last weekend and I have to say I was really impressed. I had the strawberry spinach salad and my husband had their ribeye. Both were great. The waiter even took the time to talk about the huge wine list and help us decide even though it was incredibly busy. I thought it was going to be super stuffy and overpriced, but it was everything but. Can't wait for hubby to take me their again soon for our anniversary!! (HINT, HINT!)

I ate at Garrett's last weekend and was very impressed. The service was great and the staff was very attentive. My husband ordered the filet mignon which was super tasty and I had the seafood ravioli with a shrimp cream sauce. Love it. Keep up the great work Garrett's!

There were eight of us for a birthday dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was served promptly and accurately. However, for an "upscale" menu at an upscale price, the food was average at best. The menu looked great (I had a hard time deciding), but the food portions were small and not very tasty. Even the cheesecake was average! My whole table agreed! Sorry, Garrett's, but if you're going to charge Giovanni prices, deliver Giovanni quality.

We dinned in just the other night, when we received our food the server rang in the wrong item and my steak was overcooked . This is not the first time it has happened to us. I love the atmosphere... but please Garrett's get a new kitchen staff that can read tickets correctly.

Me and my husband usually would dine out at Garrett's 2-3 times a week. Recently, we have received our food cold, steaks either overcooked or undercooked with a constantly changing menu. When we asked our server to speak with the manager on numerous occasions they can never be found.

When I am in town I really enjoy going to Garrett's. It is a very comfortable atmosphere. Great appetizers and a lot of good beers on tap. The waitstaff and bartenders are very easy going and accommodating.

I first went to Garrett's after reading a review in our local paper. The paper loved it and so do I. Garrett's is hands down the best restaurant in Rockford - best food, big bar, young staff that is fun and knowledgable, and presentation that you usually find in Chicago. And the portions are huge. I can't say enough, and it's so nice having a place like this where I live!

Garrett's is hands down the best restaurant in Rockford - best food, big bar, young staff that is fun and knowledgable, and presentation that you usually find in Chicago. And the portions are huge. I've been dining out here about 4 or 5 times a month now and I have yet to have anything to complain about. I'm always greeting with a smile from the hostesses and handshake from manager. I feel treated like a person and not like a customer, which is a big deal for me. I just picked up on playing golf and how convenient that the restaurant is connected to one of the largest golf stores in the state and has a massive driving range in its backyard.

This is a sit down restaurant with a full bar as well. Its a great dinner or lunch spot. The food is SO good. You really can't go wrong with any choice you make. My husband really likes the blackened chicken and there's a grilled cheese (I know sounds stupid) that's wonderful.
