Omalia Foods

The prices here are higher than at big chains like Marsh and Kroger, but the customer service is very good. They also have great quality meats and cheeses. There is plenty of parking, and if necessary it is within walking distance from campus. Their floral department is outstanding with very friendly employees.

Omailia foods took over my favorite grocery store, Mr. D's, here in Bloomington a little over a year ago. I wasn't happy to see Mr. D's go at all, but I was optimistic about Omalia's coming in, and definitely looked at it with an open mind. They have some good organic foods, and fresh fruits and things, but overall it's nothing you can't get at Bloomingfoods and Kroger. I'd much rather go to Kroger for the simple fact that they have U-Scan...

PROS: Nice name, fresh food.
CONS: Mr. D's was much better, nothing makes you want to come back.
