Amazing "Sweet Potato" pie! Very cozy and friendly service! I hear they work 24+ hour shifts to service all their Thanksgiving and Christmas orders and we should all be thankful!

My husband loves this place. The variety of pies through out the year are wonderful. The pies are made fresh. The place is neat and clean. You are waited on immediately. It is fun to go in a just have a piece of pie or take a few home to the family.

It's been a few years now since I started getting my pies from the Pie Lady. I have to say I have never had a piece or a pie that wasn't fantastic. It is a tradition in my family to get pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the Pie Lady has always come through!

Great pies-fruit, cream, meringue. Peach season is outstanding. If you want glamour and chi-chi coffee, you won't find it here. What you will find is some of the best pie you've ever tasted or at least it's just like Grandma used to make. Besides the coffee shop, you can find pies at the downtown Overland Park farmer's market on Saturdays. I don't know about Wednesdays.

Pie Lady, in the search for a more perfect coffeehouse, was rather disappointing. Only two tables in the entire building, its a tiny little hole in the wall. The coffee there is absolutely awful, you may as well just chew espresso beans. However!, The pie is absolutely fantastic. It is not a stretch to say that it is the best pie in kansas city. This woman remembers you and your favorite pie when you come in and often times greets me by name. If you just want a slice of pie, this is the place for you.
PROS: Huge selection of pies, meranges, cobblers, quiches, etc.
CONS: Horrible coffee, very very small area, 2 tables.

Two Snaps for the Ginger Snap!
Everything I sampled (don't tell, I sampled a lot!) was great. Although, I am utterly fascinated and obsessed with the Ginger Snap cookie that the Pie Lady makes! I don't live anywhere near KC, so I have to have a friend literally drive and hour to get some and send them to me.... No, seriously, it's worth it.
