Peet's Coffee

If you are looking for a place to relax and take a rest, this coffee shop is highly recommendable. The athmosphere is just so relaxing.

All Mocha lovers MUST try Caribou's new Mochas made with real melted chocolate steamed into the milk. Choices are dark, milk or white. Personal preference is Dark. All I can say is Mmmmm...

Now I liked Caribou or the "bou", as I call it, a lot prior to them changing how their Mochas were made - but honestly, I usually ordered their espresso or coffee because most 'specialty' drinks are too sweet for my taste. It all changed when I received my 'happy bou day' coupon for my birthday and took the opportunity to sample their newly concocted large Mocha.

The espresso and coffee here is also very good. I never go to Starbucks and honestly, I don't know any true coffee lovers who do, certainly not many who have ever experienced 'the bou'.

Service here is great and this location also has nice decor and a mellow atmosphere. I'm lucky to be able to go at times when many seats are available. including the usual coveted comfy chairs. When they see me coming they usually start preparing my usual espresso, but I'm throwing them off by ordering the new Mochas. If you haven't tried one yet - go on Mondays when a Medium can be yours for just $2.

My only 'complaint' is that they don't have my favorite apple filled scones any longer, but other than that -- Caribou is a great escape for your favorite cup of joe - right in downtown Bethesda.
