Hair cut and style my Emily was great.
Massage was very good however not an hour, more like 50 minutes.
Facial left me smooth after I wiped off all the product she left behind. I'm talking seaweed mask quarter size chuck on my neck and other stuff around my face. The worse part as that I came in 15 minutes early, watched the appointment ahead on me leave And didn't see my facial therapist until 10 minutes after my appointment time. The facial table was cheapo!!! I've never had a facial on a plastic table that wobbles and when laying down my feet felt higher then my head. After the questions my 1 hour facial ended up being 40 minutes!!!! Riped off!! Wth!! Plus, the massage and facial rooms are not quite. You can hear everything going on In the salon and everyone walking by to go to the staff quarters and bathrooms. They really need to do some sound proofing and cut traffic off in that hall way. Not professional at all. $200 spent after tip. If I were you I'd stick with a cut in style and a half hour massage, skip the facial...or just go some else. You have a ton of choices. This market is saturated with spas/salons. Bella scappare should be just a salon, They are no SPA!
I Have gone to several salons in SouthLyon and none could work with my hair. I finally mustered up the courage to go into Scappare
and am I glad I did. They were all so friendly and Megan did an amazing job on my hair. I actually like my hair now. She also taught me how to style it on my own!!! I'm surprised that someone found it snooty once they got inside. I think maybe that person might have been intimidated. I go there now on a regular basis and I find that my cut is only about $7.00 more than anywhere else in town. I'd rather pay the additional money for properly trained employees than to spend $7.00 less on a terrible cut elsewhere in town.
I moved to South Lyon about a year ago, and after a lifetime of bikini and full leg waxes, found this to be the only place in town to offer the service. Although the esthetician was friendly, I found the waxing experience to be very poor. I got the impression she didn't know how to tackle so much hair, which is not the feeling you want from a waxer. She pulled my skin (without keeping it taut) and couldn't get the hair off, so she just went back over the same areas over and over. I was absolutely raw after the session. I have never had a more unsatisfactory wax, and as I mentioned, I've had a lot of them. Then to add insult to injury, it was a bit more expensive than any wax I've ever had, which is preposterous, having moved here from a much larger city, and frequenting much more upscale salons. I had such high hopes, but unfortunately, I won't be back, and will definitely warn others.
I used to go to Utopia in Northville and decided to branch out a bit. I was nervous to try Scappare but was pleasantly surprised! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was very cool and very relaxing. My stylist Theresa did an amazing job and treated me more like a friend than a client. I will definitely become a permanent customer here!!!
The only real full-service salon in town, this place is pretty busy. Offers all services including hair, make-up, nails. The prices are a bit high for the service received and I still prefer my regular hairstylist who does in-home calls and charges a LOT less for a better style.
Having lived in the area for several years I have always wanted to try Salon Scappare. I was hesitant because of the cost $40 - $50 for a haircut . I had my first cut there this weekend and it's a wreck! It is uneven and won't blend. I am soooo disappointed, I wouldn't have expected this quality of cut from an exclusive salon. I had a better cut when I went to the beauty school.
Pros: Location and ease of getting an appointment
Cons: Prices are not reflective of quality
On June 3rd I had an appointment for a full pedicure & manicure that included putting tips to make long nails on. Being unsure what to call them I explained in detail what I needed and that it was my son's wedding. So really nice was the goal. This company came highly recommended so I made the appointment. When I got there the receptionist had made the appointment incorrect and didn't allow enough time for the nails. I was leaving the next morning at 6AM (wedding out of town). There was no time for error here. The pedicurist said they would see if they had someone else to do the nails and went ahead with the pedicure. by the time I found out that it couldn't be done I had most of the pedicure finished. I didn't know what to do, I paid and left. Very upset knowing that I still needed to have the work done elsewhere. I had to have both pedicure and nails done again to have them matching. So I paid $62.00 + tip for nothing. OH THEY DID GIVE ME A 15% COUPON FOR A RETURN VISIT. When I returned from the wedding...I went back. The young woman at the counter (I returned a bottle of polish that Bob gave me in case the new manicurist wanted to use it to match his work) and the coupon. No refund...no offer to redo as a complimentary for their error and costing me much more money, nada, just I'm sorry have a nice day! This is not a place I would recommend to anyone. There are so many respectable & reputable places available so my recommendation is to move on to the next business in the phone book.
Pros: friendly enough
I had an appointment yesterday morning. It was first thing on a monday. My stylist Kristan did absolutely beautiful work. Family, friends & co-workers love the new do. I am definitely referring people to the salon as well as Kristan. Monday morning everyone there was very congenial. The experience was worth the drive that was approximately an hour & a half to get to the salon. It was easy to get to & worth the drive. Thanking you again & I will see everyone again.
I grew up in salons, with a mother who did fantastic hair. Living 3000 miles from her has proved to be be hair-challenging. Scappare ended my never-ending plight to find the best hair dressers! Not only do my color and hi-lights always look sharp and shiny, but the massages by Amanada can't be beat. She focuses on each ailment and needing muscle better than a doctor in my opinion!
Sitting in relaxing spa pedicures where techs give great attention to not only my nails, but the over all well being of my feet is refreshing. Their aim is to make me the most comfortable and beautiful I can be.
I often feel like the art of beauty is so well portrayed at Scappare, reminding me of ancient times when women relaxed around great spas and being pampered.
Scappare offers refreshments and snacks to all of their clients, and leaves no stone unturned. The belief that the client is not only a canvas but a person who needs a momentary escape, is strongly upheld. The name Scappare is truly appropriate. I would drive an hour or a week to keep my hair and demeanor in check at Scappare Salon.
Pros: Open relaxing atmosphere, highly skilled staff, always considerate and thinking about the client.
Cons: Can't find any!
I was recommended to Salon Scapparre and decided to give them a try. It is about a 30 minute drive from my house, but well worth the travel.
Jean and Kristen are the BEST! I am a stylist myself and finding someone to do MY hair is always a challenge. Either stylists don't listen to their clients or assume the client knows nothing about hair.
This was NOT the case at Salon Scapparre. Jean is very open to ideas and didn't automatically assume I knew nothing about hair. She was very thourough when determining what I wanted and made reccomendations based on what I wanted to accomplish.
Kristen did my hair while Jean was out on maternity and there wasn't a blip in the quality of service. I was just as happy as I am when Jean is doing my hair. This is a huge plus to be able to use another stylist in a salon and be just as satisfied as if your regular stylist had provided your service.
Salon Scapparre's atmosphere is very relaxing and elegant. From their Live piano player to the coffe/tea bar, to the eclectic decor, you are sure to feel like a celebrity without the celeb price. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of service they provide. Day spas near my home are 20-30% higher priced than what I regularly pay here.
I would recommend either of these ladies in a heartbeat (and have!)!
Pros: Talented staff, continued education in techniques and current styles, beautiful ambience
Cons: Parking is limited, but it has never proven to be a real issue for me.
This salon was not worth the prices it charged. My hair was fried from the color and my hair cute was way uneven. I felt like i was sitting in a factory were i was so rushed. It was beautiful but the staff was snotty. The owners need to get a clue and educate that staff.
Salon Scappare is the best salon I have ever been to. I got my nails done for my wedding, they looked fabulous and they held up for a long time. I would recommend Pam, the nail tech, to all my girlfriends. Also the purses and jewelry are gorgeous. It has the big city feel in South Lyon. Everyone is very friendly and very trendy. I look forward to the days I get to spend in the salon. This salon is a great addition to the town.
Pros: Very clean, knowledgeable, friendly staff
Salon scappare pleasantly surprised me. My stylist really nailed my color, it is exactly what I wanted. She also did quite well on my cut, and the assistant was so sweet. Kudos to salon scappare! thanks,
I'll definetly be back.
Pros: The results, The staff, The coffee
Cons: the sign by the road dosen't stand out
I have never had a more amazing head of hair! This was my first time to Salon Scappare -- despite a little bit of a drive from where I live -- and I've found my hair a new (and permanent) home...I loved it! From the coffee/tea bar, to the sweet staff, attentiveness of my stylist, her expertise in telling me what we can and cannot do with color on my hair (based on how fragile and weak it was when I walked in)...and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!!! From what I could see, all the stylists are TRUE experts...I saw many smiles from other clients and every head that walked out looked gorgeous. GREAT COLOR, GREAT CUT, GREAT STYLIST, THE BEST PLACE EVER! You must, must, must try this place...you'll never go anywhere else. I won't! (plus they have trendy purses, cute jewelry, tasty lip glosses and more to shop through while your there...a girl's paradise!).
Pros: Everything is awesome
Cons: Nothing -- the drive is so worth it!
