First of all I am from Wisconsin. After a fustrating time of trying to find a Grocery store to delivery a special gift basket to a badly hurt, young service man at UMC I gave up. I then decided to go the pizza delivery route. My friends from WI have been living at the hospital since 11/8/09. A very accommodating Jim (the owner) and former Veteran was more than willing to have a meal of my friends' choice, deliver a meal to them. I thank you for going the extra mile it meant a lot.

Every March a group of us come out for NCAA basketball action and we found this place in 2008 after we discovered our previous favorite pizza place had gone out of business. We stuffed ourselves on pizza and amazing garlic knots (try these if you don't know about such things) and although probably not related, enjoyed some great luck on our sports bets as well! Enjoy

Where everyone knows your name, regulars know that NY Pasta & Pizza has the best lunch time deals, the most fantastic food, and a large repeat clientele. Lunch special include drinks. Don't forget the homemade soups. Great delivery and take-home service. Meeting rooms for smaller groups. Ask for Jimmy & Laura, the best restauranteers in Vegas.

PROS: Great fresh-made food at a very reasonable price
CONS: My home cooking is not as good as their food

I went into NY Pizza and Pasta on a quest for a GOOD Meatball Sub or hoagie. In CT we call them grinders. I moved here in November and ever since I have tried in vain to find a good meatball sub. I walked into Ny Pizza and Pasta and told Roseanne the waitress I am on a mission to find a good meatball sub. She told me I found the place. She also said "You will be back". She was definitely right. I have gone back several times now. I tried the meatball sub, the eggplant parmesan sub, the sausage, pepper and onions sub and my husband and I have also gone into the dining area and ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a side of garlic knots! Everything was just perfect. The ranch dressing was delicious on the salad, The meatballs were very tasty. They have the best sauce I have ever had eating out. They are really nice people who go way out of the way to please you. If you are looking for really good food don't look any further. I know you will definitely want to go back over and over again.
The waiter comped my husband and I a couple pieces of pizza to try. It was the best thin pizza ever. I can't wait to try their sicilian pizza. I highly recommend NY PIZZA AND PASTA! They are the BEST!!!! Mary Mills

Pros: Best Meatball subs in Las Vegas!

Cons: None

I would personally like to thank the owners of New York Pizza and Pasta for finally providing Las Vegas with some real New York Pizza. The Pizza was on the money, the service was exceptional, and finally the first place i've seen in a long while that has an Italian guy making pizza(and not one of those other guys if you know what im saying). If you are accustomed to eating the spam that Las Vegas people call pizza, then once you lay the tip of a nice slice of pizza from this place on your tongue, instantly your taste buds will be beaten into submission by the reigning heavyweight champ of deliciousness. So if your thinking of eating at some other joint that calls themselves a New York pizza place, think again and give this place a shot.

All I can say is YUMMMMMYYYY!!!! The price is a little high but my take out order was ready just when they said it would be. The employees were polite and you can tell they like where they work. I will definitely dine in next time to take full advantage of what the restaurant has to offer. If you are visiting from out of town I would go off the beaten path of the LV BLVD and try them out.

Pros: Delicious. Hot food. Timely. Easy Parking

Cons: Price

As everyone else has pointed out, this is the real deal and the best I have had in Las Vegas (on one 3-day trip I sampled 7 different pizza joints). The pizza is super-thin and foldable with the perfect applications of sauce and cheese. Not too greasy, but not too dry either. The crust has a subtle flavor that doesn't rely too much on sugar or salt. Service can be a little slow at times, but it is always friendly. Totally worth the drive from the strip.

Pros: Authentic NY-style Pizza. Friendly Staff.

Cons: Sometimes slow. New dining areas seem a little sterile.

We were totally treated like family. It was so much fun. This is the place to take lots of friends to and enjoy an evening together. We will return soon. It was fairly inexpensive and we needed a box when we got done. The food was excellent and authentic.

Pros: people, people, people

Cons: seemed a little chaotic at times, but all in all a good experience

Never had a NY pie before so can't compare it to a parlor in NY, but if this is what NY style pizza is, then I highly recommend it! Coming from Chicago I'm used to the thicker crust, but I've fallen in love with their thinner crust pie!

The service is great. The chefs always say hello and have introduced themselves making one feel very welcome. The whole family-run atmosphere is a soon to be lost part of America, but it's alive and well here at NY Pizza & Pasta.

FYI it was recommended to me by an authentic New Yorker who claimed they had the best pie- And he was right. Bravo.

Have but one complaint, their tiramasu was attrocious. But what does that matter when you're coming for the pie? :)

Pros: easy parking, family atmosphere, great food

Cons: Tiramasu

I am a pizza snob. I love all sorts of pies. A proper prepared NY style is difficult to find. They either have too flat or soggy crust or the middle needs a towel. They got the crust right but I still needed the towel. I have come to expect this and the use of a couple napkins took care of the problem. I have seen much much worse. The crust was excellent! The cheese was great too. I asked for extra sauce which did not happen. It needed a bit more of that tomato spicy kick to it. The pie was to the edge as it should be. The sausage and onion toppings were generous. A good value pie.

Pros: crust, family atmosphere, value

Cons: liquid in middle, sauce, service

I love this pizza, and they even know what a "white pie" is and how to make one...and make it well! Truly the best pizza in Vegas. But...when a large pie with pepperoni is running around $20, that spoils my appetite.

Jimmy is the best, and his family all do a great job providing good ol' fashioned service. The cheese pizza is to die for. It's worth going out of your way from the strip to have a slice or a whole pie! I used to live in Vegas, and now I can't wait to get back just for the pizza! The garlic knots are killer too!

This is actual NY pizza, the only in town. I've been in LV for 14 years and had pizza everywhere. No other place compares. All the other food is great, too. My fav is their chicken parmesan hero. Fast & friendly to boot.

Pros: Food, Value

June 15, 2004

The owners and staff of NY Pizza & Pasta are great. The food is awesome and the you can't beat the price. Sneak away with your better half or bring the family. Everyone is always welcome!

Pros: great selection, great service, great price

First of all, the owners are from New Jersey, and are the nicest couple you have ever met. They deserve your business by not only having some of the best Pizza ever, but it's not only in Las Vegas, this stuff is comparable to the real thing back East, I should know I grew up there.

They are growing, and I know, since I;ve been eating there for over 5 years now, that they struggled early on. Give it a try it's worth a trip cross town.

Pizza is soooo great, especially if you love NY style pizza. We live in town and are there a dozen times a month. I brought my relatives from Brooklyn here and they said, "Great food here, and the staff and most of the customers don't talk with an accent here." hahaha That's right, sooo many of the customers are ex-patriot NYers, just like me, too.

Pros: GREAT pizza, extensive menu, great prices

Cons: not many cons, limited parking, sometimes crowded

December 24, 2002

Like you just got off the train in Brooklyn. Great pizza, great employees, great characters, great value...

It tasted like somebody spent some time on it, and the workers were friendly.

New York Pizza and Pasta has the best pizza in Vegas. The closest to the real pizza. Real being New York pizza. Not to mention all the other things they have that are great, like their wings. ( with blues cheese, NOT Ranch)

November 09, 2002

This small chain has the best pizza in town. Between these folks and Lake & Elwoods in Springfield, IL; this is a choice that this fan of real pizza can't make!!!

Pros: good prices, great wings!, GREAT PIZZA!!

Cons: parking, limited del. times

September 30, 2002

Best pizza I have eaten west of Chicago. definitely make an effort to eat here.

Pros: great cheese, great taste, great food

August 08, 2002

This pizza tastes like very authentic Italian cuisine. I have never had pizza that has all of the qulities of great pizza. It has thin flakey crust, tangy sauce, crunchy crust, and cheese that pulls in strands and makes a delicious mess. I would definitely recommend this pizza place to anyone who is yearning for the taste of 'real' pizza without paying too much.
