For top-of-the-line instruments at affordable prices, there is no other local store rival. The staff & ownership are not only very knowledgeable about most music related issues, they are honest & dependable in getting the job done, as promised. The latest in quality instruments, numerous accessories & upgrades, lessons from top-notch musicians, expert repairs, bulletin board for local needs/sales & event ads, and frequent discounts on select items make Rawson's THE favorite for beginning & old-time musicians like me. I highly recommend you start your music needs searches here & avoid regrets from impulse-services elsewhere.

I like it. They had some guitar brands that others here don't feature new such as Swedish-make Hagstrom, J. Turser, and a few others (not much used, though). Drum stuff is somewhat limited to major brands, cymbals, etc., though. (Not much space for that.) I'm certain they can order for you, though.
Rawson does feature drum, guitar, and music lessons for the SW area of the metro. It's next to one of the last self-build computer-component places left in the metro (Computer Masters).
I think that those from the metro interested in finding a quality new "serious" guitar--yet, not necessarily from the "same-old, same-old" brands (which Rawson does offer, also) will find themselves here--at some point in their searches! I desire to visit Rawson (and, next door) again, soon!

The prices are competitive and they carry a variety of high quality instruments. Customer service is great. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the products they sell and an array of other music related issues. There are less expensive instruments and equipment at other stores in OKC but, if you are looking for high quality or professional grade equipment stop in a check it out. They offer some music instruction as well, which I am currently taking guitar lessons, and I definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in learning how to play guitar.

Rawson is rather crowded, but the staff is knowledgeable. In the past they have tended to have plenty of new-old-stock guitars that they were not in a hurry to move to make room for new gear. Not much used gear though perhaps this has changed. Pretty typical for a mom-and-pop new equipment store, but not a high priority for bargain hunters.
