St Hugh Elementary School

St. Hugh is a great school! I have put three children through St. Hugh and each has come out with a positive and unique learning experience. I believe the best thing is the famliy atmosphere. St. Hugh is a welcoming family friendly school that is decicated to the students, the chirch, and to truly helping the children go into the future with a responsible and loving out look on life. If you are worried about your child not fitting in I have learned form hands on experience that the children have open minds. They are very open to new people and different experiences.

Saint Hugh's is at Mascher & Tioga Sts. It's a small school, mostly of Latino students. Grades run pre-school through 8th. The teachers are employed by the parish and have nothing to do with the public school across the street accept that the public school rents and uses rooms within Saint Hugh's.

The teachers are very involved with the success of their students. They will often stay hours after school to help students who are having difficulty achieving. Since class size is generally small, teachers are better able to interact and access their students and come to know them more easily. Both teachers and the administration are supportive of parents and the family structures of their students. Parents are very involved in the school.

There are few better places than Saint Hugh's for a great educational experience!

Sanit Hugh Of Cluny is a very small Catholic school located near B & Allegheny Avenues in Philadelphia.

The class sizes are small and the majority of the students enrolled are those of nearby Philadelphia "Public" school teachers!

They have a all-day Pre-K and Kindergarten as well as grades 1 through 6.

For Pre-K and Kindergarten, the uniform is kept very simple. Navy blue sweatpants and a navy blue T-shirt [ or Sweatshirt in colder weather.]

The teachers are very involved with the parents and the lesson plans are well-thought out. You will not see children left unattended or running around wildly at ANY time at this school.

The tuition is reasonable and different payment plans are available.

My granddaughter attends this school and I am very satisfied with her progress in the two years she has been attending.
