i brought my van in on 5/15/11 because my serpentine belt broke and it was a $350 repair. on 8/15/11 i brought the van back because the vehicle overheated. it was determined to be a water pump and ""drive belt."" that is the exact language Fred the shop manager told me on the phone. well, evidently a ""drive belt"" and a ""serpentine belt"" are the same thing. i authorized a $600 repair. i picked up my van on 8/16/11 and i showed my AAA card for a $50 discount. then i looked at the repair invoice and found that they again had replaced the ""serpentine belt"" on the van and this time charged me $6 more for the same part that they had 90 days ago. i brought this to their attention. Fred the manager got mad and started pointing his finger at me and raising his voice when i questioned why he had called me on the phone yesterday, knowing full well that the serpentine belt had been replaced 90 days ago (he admitted he had viewed the previous repair invoice prior to calling me), and then opted to use different terminology to get me to authorize the repair. Fred also said he would give me the $6 back on the belt but in excchange he was going to rescind the AAA $50 discount because ""they were not required to honor it."" i also saw on the AAA guarantee which is in writing in their lobby that they have to show you the old parts on request. they refused to and said they had already thrown them out. they said i had to tell them this when i had called them on the phone. i also told them that had i known the serpentine belt was the same as a drive belt i would have asked for the part to be preserved for my inspection. after Fred continued to yell at me the owner, Steve, finally stepped in and took me to his office. he said all he could do was apologize and talk to Fred about his conduct. i told him i would contact AAA and then voice my experience on the internet. the Christian music they play in the lobby and the religion is all smoke and mirrors BS - they are not to be trusted and are as shady as any other repair facility you will find out there.

On multiple occasions, Christian Brothers Automotive has gone above and beyond to help me in a crisis. Once, Daniel gave me advice when I was stranded on the side of the road. Because of his advice, I was able to drive my car to their site, instead of paying for a tow truck. Another time, after I used a coupon at another oil change facility and they messed up my car (oil sprayed everywhere and smoke billowed from my car), Christian Brothers checked out my car at no cost and let me know when it was safe to drive.

I also use them for regular maintenance. When I cannot afford all of the suggested maintenance, Christian Brothers prioritizes them for me, allowing me to take care of the most important issues first.

I never doubt the honesty and integrity with Christian Brothers. They always treat me with respect and understanding. I will literally never take my vehicles to any other automotive repair shop.

This is the third Christian Brothers I have used - every time we move we find out where the closest one is. Their integrity, honesty, one year warranty on work, courtesy shuttle, and friendly service keep us coming back for more. I'm always smiling when I pay for my repair :)

When I moved to the Austin area a few years ago, of course the first thing I needed to do was to find a mechanic. Fortunately, I immediately found Christian Bros. I originally was going to the 620/Cedar Park shop, but now the new shop on Vista Ridge is closer to where I live. Since day one, the dealings I have had with Steve, Phil and Fred have been nothing short of the best in customer service and excellence. I trust them completely as they have always treated me with the upmost respect and honesty. You need a courtesy pickup- no problem. I would highly recommend both shops as I have been to both and will continue to take my vehicles to Christian Brothers as long as I am in the Austin area. Thanks guys for everything!

Late last year I went in to get a quote for the motor in my door for the window.\r\nThe window was rolled all the way down and wouldnt go back up.\r\nI drove up and asked the guy for a price on getting the window up while i got the money together to get the motor replaced.\r\nHe came right out and assisted me immediately.\r\nHe got the window up free of charge!!!!!\r\nHe gave me a quote for replacement of the motor as well.\r\nI ended up not needing it as my husband replaced it himself but the courtesy extended by the one guy at this shop impressed me

I have taken 4 different cars to this shop in the past 8 years for repairs or maintenance and have always been completely satisfied. I took my Explorer in 2 weeks ago and again received the same great customer service and workmanship. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Their customer service is above and beyond the norm. You'll have a hard time finding an automotive shop with more integrity and better customer service than this one. I recommend them to everyone.

I like the fact that this place offered me a return ride home after dropping off my minivan. You can walk to a nearby Walgreen's while waiting for a repair.

PROS: Friendly over the phone

This is a great place to take your car for repairs. They were fast and professional. After explaining my problem and dropping off my vehicle, they assessed the problem and the work was completed very quickly (able to pick it up the next day). The mechanics were very friendly and explained everything they did. The prices were reasonable for the work performed. I would definitely go back.

PROS: Fast and Reliable service!
