I had heard about this boutique and was surprised to find more for women than just "health" related items. They cater to women who have special needs for undergarments, but found that it's really for all women. I bought a pair of Spanx to smooth me out for certain outfits and the sales lady was sooo helpful. She got me into the right size just by looking at me and even gave me great tips to not have to battle with the Spanx trying to get them up! I also saw firsthand how caring another sales lady was in trying to fit a woman for a wig who was going through chemotherapy. They definitely care!

Pros: specialized and caring service

.

I was very disappointed with the level of customer service I just received. On 7/16/2008 @ 5:45pm I purchased a pair of Jobst pantyhose. The lady with short red hair, Rosemary, helped me and told me I needed a medium. She only measured my ankle and calf muscle. I told her I was concerned because I am hippy and have a lot of butt. She assured me that they would fit and said "Jobst has a guarantee that you can wear these, if for some reason you can not wear them bring them back within a week and we will get you your refund." The next morning I tried to put them on, not to my surprise, I could NOT pull them up past my thighs and they would not budge. So, I put them back in the box to exchange them for maybe a pair of thigh highs, since I wouldn't have to pull those over my hips. When I returned to the store on 7/17/08 @ 2:15pm to exchange them, the same lady tried to tell me that they had been worn and she could not return them, which they had not been, because I couldn't even put them on. I reminded her that she told me they could be returned within a week if I could not wear them. I told her, if I had kept them for a week and could not wear them for any reason, I would have had to have tried them to know that I could not wear them. She finally agreed to exchange them for the thigh highs (which were cheaper than the pantyhose) but would not give me the difference of the two. After about 15 minutes of arguing with this woman, and her trying to write me a check for the difference (I paid with cash and wanted cash) because she claimed she didn't have enough change (what store does not keep change). I ended up so frustrated that I accidentally gave her the change that she should have given me in exchange for $20, so I ended up losing $3.68. But I just wanted to finish with her so I could leave that store and get away from this woman as fast as I could. I will NEVER to return to Women's Health Boutique @ 2270 W Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: Dishonest staff and policy

.

Fairly nice selection of bras in harder to find sizes and assistance available in bra fitting. They also carry a wide array of products such as prosthesis for women who have had masetomies and wigs for those going thought cancer treatments. The big let down for me came after our visit. My mother had requested they order some things for her and they were supposed to call her with the information, but they never followed up. Thankfully she didn't have to pay prior to the completion of the order, but it was disappointing. It may have been a simple oversight, but I think if I were to go back I would try another one of their locations.
