Coxco Transmissions

This place is the last place that should be on your list for auto repair. First off they take an extremely long time to accomplish tasks that would take any any other place mere minutes. Secondly, the manager.. Robert or Robbie... did not seem to know what he was doing. He would ask me odd questions, plus he got upset when I called to check on the status of my truck. He agitated and asked if I wanted to pick up my truck, when I asked if it was ready.. he said no because I kept calling and it was keeping him from working on it. I just picked up my truck and left, this place is a waste of time.. This place needs to be closed down, or possibly new management.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for everything that you have done for me. It can often be difficult as a young professional woman to find reliable car service and your staff has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions to make sure that I and blue ( my truck) are more than well taken care of. It came as a surprise to me that I was able to get my tire changed without being charged. In addition I find your prices to be more than reasonable and have no hesitation in recommending you to my friends and family. It is very comforting to know that I can count on Coxco for any of my automotive needs, and to know that the service that is provided will not only address my immediate concerns but will come with a warranty I can count on for the future. Pros: The Best Service in Town

Be very weary of this place, Robbie the manager is nothing more than a fast talking, cocky con artist. Don't be fooled by this guy, he'll sweet talk you into having your vehicle towed in so he can check it out. He won't give you an estimate until you authorize him to take it apart, then that's when he lets you have it. If you can't afford to pay his 3 to 4 grand transmission job, he'll then charge you $500 just for looking at it and don't expect it to run anymore. Oh, and if he says "don't worry, I'll work with you" referring to his finance options, he'll send you to some other guy so you can get a car title loan to pay him. Worst experience ever, this place should be shut down!

I just wanted to say thanks for your help the other day in getting the Impala fixed on such short notice. I'm glad to know there's someone around that I can trust to have a vehicle taken to and not have to show up in person to get things done right, and show me what the problem was when I pick it up.

Pros: showed all parts replaced and explaned

I have read a lot of these reviews and i am shocked on some of them.
My experience with Robbie and the Coxco team was spectacular. My focus had died right before Christmas. Im talking about total engine failure. I planned on going to visit my family that lived four hours away. I did not know what to do. I was starting to feel real sad. I have not seen my grandma in months.
So i searched over the internet for a place that would help me out financially due to purchases of to many gifts for my
huge family. In other words, i was broke.
I came across Coxco and talked to Robbie told him the situation and he said "don't worry i will take care of you" . He had my car towed to his shop,found out what was wrong with it called me back,(2 hrs later) told me what was wrong it it. I said fix it, and im not kidding you, he called me back the very next day and said its ready for pick up!!
I said what? Already? Are you kidding me? He said no i am not.
So i went over and worked out a payment plan with him and was on my merry way back home.
Now i have never seen this type of customer and car service before but i will gladly recommend anybody to Robbie and The Coxco Team! Thank you Robbie!
P.s If you guys get a chance to taste his wife's salsa do so!! It is real good!!

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for everything COXCO has done for me and my family! I recently had my transmission worked on and now i have peace of mind that I'm able to provide a safe car for my family and am protected by a better warranty then my car manufacturer provided!! The hospitality that was shown to my family was absolutely refreshing! Its obvious that this business is ran with just as much heart as it is with quality service. Being able to finance the car with easy payments reflecting my own personal income is such a blessing! I would recommend this company to all my friends and family and know that they will receive the same caring,honest, hardworking service as I did!

Pros: Nothing Like Great Customer Service

When I found out I was having transmission problems on my car I started to panic. I have two children and really rely on my car too much. I took the car to another shop and they told me that nothing was wrong but when I took it to Coxco they told me the reality of how bad the car was. Robby was so nice! He offered me payments that I could afford and my car is working right with a warranty. I had a great experience at Coxco. So if you know anyone that?s has a problem call Coxco.

I had an unbelievably wonderful experience with Coxco Transmission. When I first found out my transmission was going out, I was very worried. But thankfully, Robby, the manager at Coxco Transmission, quickly eased my mind. Not only was the he friendly, he also proved to be honest and reliable, and the work was of highest quality. Dependability like that is very hard to find these days. They have an affordable payment plan so I didn't have to pay everything at once, and it was within my budget. I even got my truck back in a reasonable amount of time, and was able to make it to Thanksgiving dinner, out of state, without any problems. With a 50,000 mile/ 5 year warranty, there is peace of mind that the work is guaranteed. If you or anyone you know is having transmission problems, Coxco Transmission is the place to go. I am a 65 year old Great-Grandmother and own a 2003 Mercury that I purchased new. It had been shifting hard and making some noise. I went to the Yellow pages and found a transmission co that had been in business for 40 years called Coxco Transmissions. I called them and asked if they could check my car and see if something was wrong with the transmission. I made an appointment to bring the car in and spoke to a representative named Robby. He told me there was no charge for inspecting the transmission but would probably take about an hour. I waited in their waiting room and was told by Robby, that there appeared to be no internal damage but would recommend an oil change since I had never had it changed. They changed the transmission oil and made some kind of adjustment. I was charged $69.95 for there service and sent on my way. It was the best money I could ever have spent. The car shifts perfectly and makes no noise. I am grateful for their honesty and help. They could have charged me much more and I would not have questioned it. I will tell all my friends and relatives about this and recommend Coxco Transmissions to them. I have since been back for engine oil changes and a tune up. Same results everytime.

My experience with Coxco has been AWESOME!! This is my second time because I was very impressed with my first visit here. I drive a standard 2002 Isuzu Rodeo, which I don?t think it ever had a clutch until I brought it here. I?m a mother of 5 so expenses are high for my living, but Robby was very understanding and allowed me to make payments on the balance owed! This is to let everyone know that I did take my car in to be fixed at Coxco Transmission back in October of 2008, I talked to Robby the manager and he had said that there was no charge on looking at my car to see why it was heating up. I had left my car in their hands, seeing that I am a girl, I thought that he would take advantage of me, but to my surprise, Robby called me and explained what was wrong with the car, I asked him not to work on the car till I got there. When I got there he was very polite and took his time to explain everything to me. I asked that he not work on the car till I knew how I was going to pay for it, he then explained that Coxco has financing and which to me was great, I have crappy credit and they were able to finance me with was at a good price, 2 week before I had taken it to another company and they quoted me a price that I could have put a down payment on a new car. Well I just wanted to say that everyone there was great and my car is running like new. Thank you Robby!

We were in town visiting family and had car trouble and the only company to answer the phone was the manager at Coxco. He called a tow truck and the next day had us on the road. I want to thank the people of Coxco Transmissions for the outstanding job they did on my truck transmission and also for the exceptional job done on my Granddaughters vehicle. I have referred 4 of my friends to them and they all have the same story. Good service, outstanding customer relations with the manager and his staff and good value for the jobs they performed. I would recommend Coxco to anyone who wants a good job, outstanding warranty on their work, excellent staff and friendly atmosphere during the transaction.

Pros: Long time business and not a start up company

After having problems with our vehicle during the holidays, our car needed to be looked at due to some transmission problems. We saw a blue and white SIGN posted with Coxco transmission Repair with free estimate and free towing. We called the man and he was extremely helpful until he had our vehicle at his shop. We found out that the estimates were only free if you gave authorization to have your car worked on once they took it apart to find out what was wrong, then the towing was not free if we don?t have our car worked on either. The office manager was extremely rude, arrogant, and unmerciful when we were in disagreement with him. He began yelling, raging, screaming, and seemed to switch personality right before our eyes. He was extremely unethical and he has no customer service sense whatsoever. This business is very unethical and unprofessional. Customers stated that the police had been previously called before we were there and that the manager was so extremely rude and that he had the people in tears. They want to make as much money as possible in a short period of time and are very unethical about their business practices. Save your time, money, and go to a reputable place of business. Although this is a 40 year old business, which sounds great when the manager tells you, this place will be run to the ground by their illegal practices. We asked to talk with the owner and come to find out the Office Manager is on a power trip since he is in charge and later we found out he was not the owner. This definitely is a Bait and Switch that the illegal used car business did years ago, and now it has moved into the transmission business and namely, COXCO as an unethical business. Shame on those 40 years of business and for using customers to run a dirty and seemingly illegal business activities and mindset. The manager we did business with is named Robbie and has a horrible work and business knowledge and ethics.

i would advise that no one ever go to this place...my husband took his car to simply get looked at since this place does free estimates...they gave him a estimate and told him it would be 1000 for a simple radiator fix...too much money...on top of that we told the owner that we could not afford it and he told my husband that we wasted his time...which we thought was very rude and disrepectful to a customer...after the agruement with the owner he told my husband good luck with your car in a very disrepectful way and when my husband got back to work his car over heated even worse..he looked under his hood to find that most of the hoses were disconnected and not the way they should be....which could have messed up our car even worse then it already is...he called and confronted the manager but he simply said "i wasnt the one that looked at your car"....so please everyone do not take your car to this place...all we wanted was to see what was wrong with our car and see how much it would be...the owner was the one who was rude first by saying we wasted his time and to not to ever our vehicle back again....i dont want to see this happen to anyone else...and its sad how people and even owners of a business treat their customers like that..we are in process of contacting a lawyer...

The staff was polite to my face but did not perform services/ replce parts: verified by other mechanics. They took advantage of this single mother of three for over $4,000!!!!!! DON'T GO TO EITHER LOCATION!!!!!
