After having my engine die (covered under warranty), my vehicle was taken to Mazda of Clear Lake on May 22nd. After being told my vehicle would be ready on the 10th or 11th, they kept pushing the date back. The 13th or 14th. On the 17th. Finally, on the 19th, they told me they 'by chance' found a problem with a cooling fan. Not having a satisfactory answer as to why this was important, or if it was covered under my warranty, I decided to call Mazda to express my concerns about the length of time it was taking, as well as the strangeness of the man handeling my case. They said it wasn't covered, but it's strange this is taking so long and they would call Mazda of Clear Lake for me. I also decided to have my boyfriend call to get more information about the car (I don't claim to understand cars at all). He called, left a message, and received a call back from the man handeling my car- who BERATED him for my 'badmouthing' him to Mazda.
Now, if he had a PROBLEM with what I said, he should have spoken to ME rather than my boyfriend. However, my nightmare doesn't end there.
I spoke to the service manager and he 'counseled' the young man in question, and took some money off the service charge. Fine.
Then he calls me a few days later and said they broke my radiator. Don't worry, I was told, we broke it, so it will be of no cost to you.
Imagine my surprise this morning when I FINALLY went to pick up my car (The 26th of JUNE), to find that I was charged for the fan AND the radiator. Not labor, but the parts. I didn't say anything to the service manager, just wanting to LEAVE this place!!

Lets see if the GM returns my call...

wow !.......i have such a completely different experience at mazda.I applied over the internet for a 2010 mazda 6 shortly after i was called back by a manager(jason) as was given a time to come in for a appointment.I was unable to keep the scheduled time and the operator tracked down the sales manager and rescheduled my appointment as well as called me back.When i got to the dealership everything was as we agreed on as far as price and vehicle.I usualy would rather go to the dentist than purchase a vehicle..lol..however these guys were awesome at clearlake...my salesmen were jorge and kizito and i would reccomend any of my friends and family to purchase from them ! They even took my loaner car back to the rental place and everything! I cant believe that the car buying process could be so easy over there ! The sales man was gone the whole time except to walk by and hand me car keys to test drive. Then dissapears when we were talking about the monthly payment for the car I chose. And their receptionist is probably one of the most dumbest people in the world who kept sending me to salesmen cell phones. Would explain why she would have that position. Then you have the General manager. He was so rude to me on the phone saying he was not gonna take my business because I had some minor past credit issues after I had already been approved, called me a liar saying that his receptionist was not rude and that I never spoke to a finance person associated with them. And he was going off on me telling me why was I rude and getting mad? Are you serious?! Might I add this "person" I "never" spoke to called me and gave me my approval and told me she would be there till &pm and to go there. Well I recommend no one to go there and waste their hard earned money to supply these good for nothing ugly sales people. We are the customers despite past credit accountability. We're the ones with the down payment, the monthly note and are being held accountable for a large monthly payment. I'm sooo glad that I didn't put that $5,000 I have down on a car with them because giving them my money when they DO NOT DESERVE IT would've been a slap in the face. No one go there because if they know you have money they will milk you, if you don't tell them you have a down payment, ie... myself, then they will treat you like garbage. I'm sure glad to take my business else where!

He was not pushy, was very nice and helpful. Being a female I am not interested in everything that is under the hood and he did not even pop the hood to show me what was under it. The management was very friendly as well. The Free Lifetime oil changes are very nice and the service people are too. Did find one charge on my invoice when I had to replace a tire that was wrong and they quickly fixed it for me. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

Please disregard those five stars, it should be two but the webpage will not allow me to change it. The service to my car has been good, but the customer service has been spotty. Twice I've made appts. only to arrive and be told they don't have me listed. The oil changes seem reasonably priced, they have always been willing to provide a rental while larger repairs are done. I do wish my mazda didn't require servicing at the dealership.

They sent my car to an auction while they lent me a vehicule for the weekend to test drive it.
When I came back on Monday my car was gone to be sold to an auction. I t had been misplaced during the weekend. When I got it back 30 minutes later, all my belongings lefts were gone as well as my stereo. Luckily my stuff was still at the dealership. Back at the dealership, Robert Burgett the GSM, didn't aplogize for the inconvenience and was reluctant to re-install the stereo the same day. After arguing he said it was possible but didn't do a thing to make it happen. When I mentionned that I had already wasted a lot of time, he started to be very rude, agressive and verbaly violent.
His attitude was so unrespecteful that I can't believe that a man like that could still be in business,
He doesn't care about customer, just money.
I will never go back there, and If you are looking for a place to buy/ try peace in mind AVOID it too.

The dealership backed out on a deal that my dad and I had separately checked on with salesmen. We did all the paperwork, test drove the car and had the key in our hands when they told us the deal wasn't possible. Understandingly, we were frustrated and called them out on their behavior. They never apologized and instead the manager was aggressive towards us. After some negotiation, he told me to shut up and which point my dad told him to give us our documents - we were leaving. He crumpled them up and threw them at my dad. My dad moved in his way to grab them and he threatened to knock out my dad if he touched him again. The dealership backed out on a deal that my dad and I had separately checked on with salesmen. We did all the paperwork, test drove the car and had the key in our hands when they told us the deal wasn't possible. Understandingly, we were frustrated and called them out on their behavior. They never apologized and instead the manager was aggressive towards us. After some negotiation, he told me to shut up and which point my dad told him to give us our documents - we were leaving. He crumpled them up and threw them at my dad. My dad moved in his way to grab them and he threatened to knock out my dad if he touched him again. I bought a 2008 Nissan from these guys last Monday. When I got home one of the wheel covers was missing. On Tuesday another wheel cover went missing. I spoke with the used car manager, Robert Burkett, and he was very rude and arrogant. He refused to replace the wheel covers and told me his mind was made up and I would not change it. He even told me that my daughter probably hit a curb and caused them to fall off which was not what happened at all. He even told me that I should go buy some new wheel covers. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealership. Customer service is non existent once you sign on the dotted line! I only gave one star because I didn't have the option for none.
