The massage and the massage therapist both were unique. It was an amazing experience. Thank you. The ambiance of the place is perfect.

The folks here understand anatomy and can explain reasons why pain is occurring in the specific parts of the body. Always positive and enlightening experiences. Hugo is exceptional.

This rating had nothing to do with the aishiatsu massage that my friend and I received from Letty, which was amazing!
The rating is due to the extremely small waiting area and ONE bathroom / lockeroom unisex accomodations. The lockers provided were so small that my friend and I could barely fit our clothes and purse into it. Having only one bathroom for everyone using the spa made us have to wait over 20 min. simply to change. The hair salon portion takes up so much of the space that it makes the spa patrons feel a bit like "second class" priorities.
The receptionist alternated between talking to her husband and checking us in, so a bit of an improvement is needed there as well.
Serves were wonderful and so were the therapists in the spa area just wish the spa space and accomodations reflected this!

JONATHAN LUKE is THE premier stylist to go to for the very BEST and most beautiful HAIR EXTENSIONS!!! He is so good that he teaches classes on the process to other professionals within the hair industry. If you're lucky enough to get an appointment with this extremely in demand stylist you will be one very satisfied client. He is professional and a pleasure to spend time with while having the process done. I also have to mention that Sensia Day Spa is so conveniently located, it has a lovely and calming enviroment, and they are open on Sundays!

Scheduled appointment for my daughter as a gift for her birthday for a massage and a facial. The appointment was scheduled for Sunday - her actual birthday. Received a call on Friday saying "they made a mistake" and had to cancel her reservation. Thanks for ruining her birthday treat and making me come up with something else on such a short notice!!!

I've been to Patti twice now and each time she has impressed me with her knowledge and professionalism. She knew how to explain color and her techniques and she wasn't afraid to answer my questions. My hair is gorgeous and I can't thank her enough. I've always been kind of a tomboy and she turned me into a "lady". I finally have confidence and can walk with my head up high. She even showed me ways to do my hair at home and gave me tips on accessories.

After having my last child, I had allowed my roots to grow out way past just needing a color touch-up. Noe was extremely friendly (and hysterically funny!) and proceeded to do highlights, broke the base & threw in a trim all in under 90 min. He helped bring me back to the blonde self I used to remember prior to late night feedings & wearing spit-up and not caring. My husband was so amazed with my transformation, that I vowed I would never let anyone else touch my hair. I just scheduled my 2nd appt and can't wait to look great again! My overall experience was wonderful and the decor/atmosphere was nice as well.

I started going to Sensia a good while back, not long after Cynthia Christ opened it. I first went because my favorite hair stylist, Richard Stratford Brown, went there to work. Soon I had an hour makeup session with Cynthia and then used he makeup line for years. Later she started the Japanese spa, which I had never tried.

Yesterday I went for a vitamin C facial by Michelle, deep tissue massage with hot rocks by Hugo, and manicure and pedicure by Angela. All but the manicure at the very end were done in the spa in the back, a place of subdued lighting with the lovely sound of the Japanese fountain in background. There was also music playing, but so softly that it did not intrude. Everyone working back there spoke very quietly. It was very easy to let go and relax there.

I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience. Michelle does a wonderful facial. I would go back to her in a heartbeat. Hugo is really good at the deep tissue massage. He does not miss anything. The hot rocks made the whole experience blissful. Angela helped me find the right colors for feet and hands and did a great job.

I have to say that another reason that I enjoyed the experience was that all three people made sure that I was comfortable and got what I wanted. It was a delightful, relaxing experience.

I took my 13-year-old daughter and her friend here for birthday "teen facials". Both have lovely skin but I thought they would like the soothing experience of a gentle treatment with steam, masks, cream, etc. Terrible mistake. Both girls emerged from the treatment rooms nearly in tears, with blotchy red skin where their skin had been (unnecessarily) extracted and gouged with metal tools. They said the treatment really hurt and that they had told the technicians (one man, one woman) to stop but they had not. I immediately told the woman at the front desk and she said the manager would call me, but no one ever did. The blotches remained for days! This experience cost $150. Of course we will not be back.

I can only speak to the massage area of the spa - I've never had any of the services up front (salon).

I've had massages all over the world and spas around the states, and I can honestly say Tammy is a world-class therapist. Very well educated, creative, and LISTENS to the customer. Very important!

The massage rooms are nice and the beds are really comfy. I've always received first class service here. Book 90 minutes with Tammy and you will be back!

Letty, my masseuse, was awesome. She greeted me when I came in and was great, getting me all set up, before the massage even started.

Once the massage started, things only got better. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and felt my knots and concentrated on them until she got them out. At one point I let her know about a problem area and she spent 10 minutes focusing on relieving the tension there.
I was very very satisfied.

The place is nice, but not too fancy. They treat you like you are in a fancy massage parlor in Hawaii paying hundreds, but charge you way less.

I won't be going anywhere else in Houston for another massage. This place is great.

I received a wonderful manicure and pedicure with Angela and have already booked my next appointment.
I had my second appointment at Sensia this week and received a great haircut and style from Aimee. The spa was a pleasant surprise and very convenient!

I was having a difficult time finding good and experienced therapists that does deep tissue massages. My daughter recommended this spa to me. I have been getting deep tissues massages at Sensia since then.

Sensia is not a full service spa; no pool, steam room, etc. I found the bells and whistles in their therapists' services. They listened to my massage expectations and worked to get me stressed free. I have not requested a specific therapist, because all the therapists I have experienced have been great. The therapists were considerate and professional.

Sensia is not the only place I frequent, but it is one that I enjoy. Be prepared for gratuity by cash or check. Sensia does not accept gratuity on credit card charges.

I recieved a gift card to this spa for Christmas. It was one of the best gifts I'd recieved. I am a new mother, and really enjoyed the quiet time alone.

I received three services, and highly recommend all three. I started out with getting a very relaxing facial by Michelle. Then went out to Olga for a nice massage. As a new mom, I have dealt with a lot of stress. Olga new exactly how to get me to relieve that stress and relax. Then I went over to meet with Angela for a spa pedicure. As I sat in the relaxing chair, put my feet up and enjoyed Angela's work!

After each session, I was given a nice hot cup of tea/coffee to further relax.

I highly recommend this salon to every one, mother or not!

I had the best massage ever with Olga and I need to tell everyone in the city of Houston. I suffer severe neck and back tension and Olga knew the right way to relax those muscles and gave me suggestions to minimize the tenseness. She is so knowledgeable. I was thoroughly impressed. I also loved the quaint, quiet solitude of the spa area and left a new person. Conveniently located near the Galleria-area off of San Felipe, it does not require a major outing to receive such attentiveness. I'll be back!!!!

My first visit to Sensia Studio was excellent! I started with an hour massage with Olga. The studio offers reduced pricing Monday - Thursday. So not only was this a great massage it was also very affordable.

I completed my visit with a Vitamin C facial. Brad gave me one of the best facials of my life!!! He was so much fun!

I will be back!!!! This spa offers so many services. I would like to try a few more!

I had finished chemotherapy and was desperate for hair. I used city search and came across Sensia with very high ratings. I went to meet Jonathan ay Sensia and he had a plan to make me feel normal again. He straightened, colored, and did extensions that completely changed my look. I have never gone to anybody else since then. Nobody could tell I had extensions, only a stylish haircut. Jonathan is always on time and always has great ideas. Ideally don't think any bother hairdresser could have done the same as Jonathan!

I was skeptical about this new nail polish because I am so hard on my nails. I do art and gardening.
I was promised 2 weeks wear, but it actually lasted 3!!
I am so impressed. I will never bother with regular polish again.

My first spa visit to Sensia is pleasant. The spa area is not big but very quite & it also made you feel relaxing & inviting. I had the hot stone massage is a wonderful experience if you've never tried it before.

Horror at the SPA:
I happened to witness a terrible experience, the person in authority conducted a public and vicious reprimand against a female employee, I think this action was uncalled for and depicts a bully attitude that has to have very negative repercusions within the workers environment, it is amazing that in today's America, we can still run into senseless people like this, that with no valid excuse abuse their position of authority, this does not help for a relaxing environment and I don't think I will go back.

My husband bought me a gift certificate for our anniversary. It was amazing! I spent 3 and a half hours there getting a massage, facial and body scrub. I was glistening and a picture of relaxation. I definitely recommend going to Sensia!

Bride's beware. If you book this studio for makeup and hair styling for your bridal party, I suggest you have a back up plan. If a larger bridal party, that will generate more income, wants the same scheduled date as you, Sensia will call to inform you they "doubled book" and cannot do your bridal party. No, this is not Dean & Rog's Birthday Scam...this is real.

I have been going to Sensia for over two years and I had my eye on Jonathan's amazing work. So I tried Jonathan the beginning of this year, and he is absolutely the best!!!!!!!!!! Every visit with him is refreshing, and upbeat, and he always brings the best out of me whether inside or out. My hair has never looked this great, and I give him major kudos. I have never been disappointed, and look forward to every visit I have with him.

I thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Tammy. She did great work on the knots in my neck and shoulders.

They do have a policy of cash or checks only for tips (cannot be added to a credit card) and I wasn't informed of this so unfortunately wasn't able to leave a tip so I'll have to catch her next time for both. I will definitely return.

Francisco has been cutting, coloring and highlighting my hair for about a year now. Right off the bat, he understands what I want with a new color or new highlight color. I came to him with a picture of a new very short style and he absolutely made that work for me. Now I get compliments all the time on how great my hair looks! LOVE MY HAIRSTYLE, FRANCISCO!!! Thank you!!!
