I have season passes for my son and I and if it weren't for the sky high prices of food/drinks/rentals Splashtown we would go 2-3 times a week just to beat the Houston heat. As of June 23, 2010, there is no longer a charge for parking (yay!) but the prices inside the park have gone up from last year. It is $13 to rent a small locker ($5 refunded) and $3.75 for a bottle of water. There were no working drinking fountains in the park. You either have to pay for the water, go thirsty, or leave to get a drink. Nothing is allowed to be brought inside.
My suggestion is to eat a late breakfast at home, arrive by 10am, and leave the park for lunch. Wendy's is within a 3 minute walk and is far less expensive. You can't bring your own tubes but don't need to rent a tube unless you want one for lazy river or the wave pool. You can not use a rented tube on any of the other rides though they are provided for you.
The place is ghetto filthy and needs a facelift but that would only raise prices again. Shame on Six Flags for being so greedy. This is, after all, the only amusement park Houston has left.

This place has a cheaper price than Schlitterbahn and you'll see why. People with gunshot t shirts, looking like they are there for a bath will swarm the place. It's very crowded. When I first got there I was in a kiddie pool warming up

Splashtown is a lot of fun. We got season passes which are paid for the second time of going. We just go from 10am to noon. We beat the crowds and lines & eat lunch at home. It's a fun way to spend the morning. I don't rent tubes or lockers. i am there early enough that there are tubes available at all the rides without waiting in line & there are chairs available to leave my towels and sunscreen.I have to say tho, that I've only come across 2 people that work there that even cracked a smile or that were polite at all. Mostly young kids who are very rude. But if you can look past that...it's great fun!

Had a great time! Staff in the season pass department were rude. The acted like we were interrupting their cartoon watching. Food was entirely too high. For a hamburger basket was $8.25 and no veggies on burger. Bought season passes and souvenir cups. Whole family had fun! We will return but we will eat before we go.

I love splashtown however it is way too expensive. You have to pay 32.00 for the ticket plus parking , a tube and a locker rental. Schlitterbahn is way bigger with free parking and free tubes. Also at Schlitterbahn you can take your lunch into the park. Also Splashtown is dirty. They really need to improve their cleanliness. If you insist on going, the season pass is the way to go, but you still have to pay for tubes every time you go.

this is a great water park. i have taken my niece and she loves it. there is so much to do. you can rent tubes for the day although they do provide them if you stand in line and wait. there is a small picnic area to go out of the park if you want to bring a lunch instead of buying there. they even sell alcohal beverages. the only draw back is the small parking lot.

My neices and nephew love Splashtown. No better place to to at 10 am and leave a 9 pm and let the kids tire themselves out. I remember when it cost less than $10 bucks a person now it's almost $20 a person. As for the price not only do we go in a huge group to get the discount but we take Coca Cola cans. We always take a pack a lunch and cooler. We eat outside at the picnic tables. Wait 30 minutes and send then send the kids back in.

PROS: life jackets for nonswimmers
CONS: price--getting to expensive

I love this place! It's a great place to have fun and splash around. If you're craving some fun in the sun, this is the place to be. I would love to bring my whole family here to have fun because I know it's the place to do so. Although it is kind of far to get to from where I live, it's definitely worth the trip!

With a coupon from a Coca Cola product, you can enter the amusement park for just 19.99 + tax. I really liked it here because this place is HUGE. There are many attractions to attend to and this is THE place to cool down. I like the lazy river the most and the Texas Free Fall the best. Don't forget to rent a tube even though it may be a little expensive, but it is better than to wait for others to use a tube. fun place to take your kids out to!

The kids love this place but I think they could use some improvements especially for the cost. I would not go unless you have a seasons pass. If you have the seasons pass then it is totally worth it. The kids never seem to get tired of this place!

This was one of the funnest places we visited last summer. My four children had a blast and so did us parents! It was kind of expensive, but worth it in the end.

We go to Splashtown simply because of the location (we are about 10 minutes away.) The kids do have a lot of fun, but as a parent I would love to see them improve the cleanliness of the park. The dirt on the stairs to the rides and along the walkways should be cleaned up regularly; the water in the kiddie area was rather dirty this year (even first thing in the morning). The customer service this year was better in the past, so perhaps they are trying to improve. Definitely the best deal is the season pass; go twice & it's paid for, plus you get coupons to bring a friend free on certain days.

This summer my kids had so much fun at Spashtown in Spring. This waterpark has so much to do that 4 hours is plenty time for them to get wore out. I highly recommend this waterpark for all ages. They have a huge children's area for the little ones as well as the huge water rides for the braver ones.
You can bring a lunch and eat outside on the picnic tables. Or eat in the park which is reasonably priced. The ticket price is moderate but worth it. This waterpark is well worth the drive from Houston and your kids will have a blast! If the kids are bored take them to Splashtown!

This year my family got the Astroworld season passes whick also included Splashtown. We took our kids at the beginning of summer and it wasn't too crowded. I bet it's more crowded in the middle of summer. All the rides were fun and there are plenty of lifeguards all around. The food it high so I bring a cooler and we eat lunch under a tree outside the park.

To me this place is too expensive (but then again so are all theme parks) but it is worth it. I have been here a few times and always had alot of fun. They don't actually have that many rides (maybe 15?) but most parks are like that too.. It's a huge place, lots of things to eat, lockers, tubes to rent, lazy river, water slides, Texas Free Fall, and more ..

This Six Flags water theme park has been here for a long time. My family and I have gone there every summer. We always get Season Passes. The park is nice and the kids love it but I think they need to just clean up some areas and update some areas also. The best deal is the season passes. It cost $30 plus tax to get in for only one day and for about $50 plus tax you can get a season pass. What a bargin!

This Six Flags Waterpark we have visited many times in the number of years we have lived in the area. It just seems like they should do a bit more improvement with the park. I also think it could be alot cleaner. A few years back we purchases season passes and visited often. It seemed towards the end of the season the park was not as nice. We do go back at least once during the summer time but will not purchase season passes.
