While deluxe junk may have some nice finds, they have insanely horrible customer service. It was actually the worst experience I've ever had at a store. There was a sign by the cash register that said "no credit cards for less than $10. Debit ok." I did not have cash and was buying a $1 bracelet. I asked if it would be ok to use debit. The women gave me a mean look and said, "you have to be kidding me!" The man behind the counter said, "didn't your mother tell you to always carry cash with you??!" My friend had a dollar so I paid and left. I was very uncomfortable with how they treated me so I went back and politely said, "I did not appreciate how rude you were, but I do really like your store." As I left, the man behind the counter proceeded to yell at me through the busy store. He said, "fine, rip me off for 20 cents when you put a dollar on a debit card. I don't care if you ever buy anything from me again!!"
Wow. That's really all I can say. It was definitely not worth it to venture into their over-priced dungeon of collectibles only to be publicly harassed. Please don't support this treatment!

Very rude people at register! If these are employees, that's rough for the owners; if these were the owners, this does not bode well for their business. I'm in Seattle often and will no longer shop here after observing owners yelling at a nice customer who asked a question about a debit card. Geez!

Deluxe Junk seems like an especially nice place to find antiques and other curiosities.
The people who run it and work there are nice and helpful, too.
Among the various places in Fremont with somewhat similar offerings, Deluxe Junk is my favorite.
It's worth checking out if you're in the area, or even if you have to make a special trip.

This antique store is located in the Fremont district of Seattle and you know you're at Deluxe Junk when you see a pack of french fries waving at you---it's their mascot or something---but it's very cute and I call it "Mister French Fry" or even "French Fry Man", but I don't know if that's its real name.
At any rate, the store itself is just delightful. They have a variety of antiques that will satisfy anyone of any price range or decorating style. ALot of furniture, but other goodies and nick-nacks as well. This is a great diversion if you're walking through on your way back from the Farmer's Market, or in need of that one thing to make your mantle complete.
STaff is very friendly and knowledgeable and will help you find things when you need it.
Highly reccomended.

The title pretty much says it all. Deluxe Junk carries pretty much everything under the sun, especially when it comes to used hidden treasures. I've found several great pieces of used furniture that at first glance looked pretty bad, but on second look and with a little work, they're now beautifully displayed in my house. Plus the little kiddies love to uncover kids' toys from the past!
