I feel compelled to comment because our experience with the quality of DeWills cabinets is so different from other reviews I've seen.\r
We chose the DeWills white thermofoil for our entire kitchen, having been told they were very durable

I had problems too, mistakes and poor quality and would not recommend this cabinet line ever.
Beware of this company, they produce an inferior product and don't stand behind it. They'll sell to any one willing to sell their product,

I did more than 7 years of contractor/personal business with this company. Started experiencing problems with quality of service when a new Manager (Bill) was hired. He consistently blamed my salesperson for him(the manager) not returning my calls, when my salesperson repeatedly returned my calls and was always extremely concientious and did her best to handle the product recall issues that I had. He put down his own employees (sales staff and delivery personal) to make himself out as the good guy when anyone with a brain could see right through him. As a business professional I highly disrespect DeWils so called Appliance Manager and the owner that would hire and continue to payroll such an obvious tool!!! They eventually let my salesperson go??? who was by far the best salesperson that I have ever worked with and told me that she had left the job! ( when I ran into her and asked her about it she told me that they had let her go!) Another Lie on their part!!! Sorry but I will not do business with this type of ILKE. And if the owner ever reads this SHAME ON YOU for allowing this Manager (Bill ???) to discredit your name and your business!! the economy is bad and there are good, honest people looking for work...you should find a new Manager!!!!

We got a 12 year warranty with our DeWils kitchen cabinets. We were happy until various spots started to appear on the finish. I called my dealer and he never called me back. Months later I called again and he said the email to the DeWils rep had bounced. Gave him another month, no action from anybody. So I drove to Vancouver and did a "60-minutes" style walk-in to their corporate offices and got the attention of on Bob Burkholder, Sales Manager, who promise me action. A call that day from the dealer gave me hope. But now another month went by and nothing. So I asked Burkholder again and now he says the damage is because of wetness and so it's not covered! Show me a kitchen that has no water! So I guess I'm on my own despite the so-called "Warranty." DO NOT BUY DeWILS unless you don't want a warranty!

I have been using De Wils Interiors for about 14 years. i have rental properties, and they give me a contractors price on what ever I need. I usually get an oven or dishwasher. I've been very happy with them.

It is a nice looking building, and the sales staff are friendly and moderately knowledgeable. Unfortunately after purchasing a dishwasher and installation, their "sub-contracted" tried to charge us another $30 for installation. We had already paid over $800 for the dishwasher plus installation. We took the bill from the "sub-contractor" to DeWils later that day. After a half hour argument with the sales/business manager, he agreed to pay the charge.

I'm sorry, but that argument lost my business. When the business is clearly wrong (aka attempted double charging for a paid invoice) yet they are telling me that I am wrong. They loose my business, and hopefully the business of others.

That was very unprofessional on their part.

I would not recommend DeWils. I wasn't worried about paying a little more to support a local business, because I like to support local businesses if possible, but not in this case. When the local business is trying to screw customers over, then I might as well save some money when I'm getting screwed over by a big box store.

They are supposed to specialize in appliances, which is why I went there, and they definitely specialize in appliances, with a double major in poor customer services.

Please don't shop there, with such poor business practices, they don't deserve your money.

Excellent customer service, friendly informed salesman, competitive pricing. Purchased a washing machine at 2.45pm on a Saturday and it was delivered THE SAME DAY before 5pm - now that's service!! I'd absolutely shop there again and recommend them over any "high street multiple".

We shopped at Standard TV and Appliance as well as a few others in Portland, but eventually we drove over to DeWils (on a friends reccomendation), and found prices BETTER than Standards on almost every item we were wanting to purchase.
We ended up saving hundreds and the salespeople arnt commison at all, so they arnt sharks like they are at Standard and other big stores.
Very nice people, delivery happend fast!

I would personally reccomend DeWils for anyone buying appliances.
They also manufacture and sell kitchen cabinets world wide, the store that sells appliances doesnt actually make the cabinets, they do sell them though.

Seriously, if you are going to buy appliances, drive to DeWils and buy them there. They will beat Standard's price any day.
