Just got back from trying the Fish Fry at the Coach House in Big Bend, Wisconsin. Very Disappointed...
Meal was fair at best!
Some kind of weird Breading definitely not "Beer Battered" Fries were luke warm not cooked completely,

Beautiful bar with that "on the lake" atmosphere. Difficult to find unless you look at a map or have directions. Food is great. I was surprised that they allow smoking - although most people (even smokers) didn't smoke in the bar the few that did actually made it bad for everyone else. The attitude that it is OK to pollute in public is very 70's. Lack of enforcement for the no-smoking rule shows disrespect for the clientele and disregard for the smoker who needs a reason to quit! My sinuses are still throbbing one day later and my down filled coat needs dry cleaning. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.

The food here is good and that's all the good I can say. It's actually 4 stars for food but the place overall brings it to a 3 easy. The first reviewer calls it a casual atmosphere, family oriented? Ahhh, hardly either......
The bottom reviewer apparently went before bar time as if you go after roughly 5pm (especially spring/summer with softball) you are screwed. You will dine in a loud raucous atmosphere with a bunch of rowdy drunks. No lies, been playing ball there since before it was bought and turned into Coach House.
They have good burgers and sandwiches however. Wraps are pretty good actually, as is the Reuben and Rachel sandwiches. Portions are decent too and prices won't break you at all.
If you want a bar experience with a bunch of gangster wannabes, hillbillies and drunk regulars, then this is your place. If you want a good lunch and supper, try getting here before 6pm to enjoy an otherwise good meal experience.
Bartenders are hit and miss. The older female there is pretty cool but the younger staff there sucks. That goes for the cheap bums they have for security on weekends.
Cons--smelly of smoke during bar time, waitstaff and loud music make for a headache
Pros--Food is actually pretty good pub food

This is a casual restaurant, near Hwy. 164 and I-43 on the south side of Waukesha. Comfortable atmosphere, good service, menu choices to please a variety of tastes. Go and enjoy!
