La Taqueria is one of the very best-tasting Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. Since they are in downtown San Jose, they can get very busy during lunch and you may have to wait in a long line. If you have time, it's worth the wait.

Simply the best authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to. Modest decor, but authentic, perhaps. It can be busy during lunch hours and the line after you order the food can get bit crowded. But once you get your food, none of that really matters, too much. Simple but awesome tasting food. I just love their burritos...Mmmm!

Their food is very greasy, but worth it. Try their chorizos for a good heart ache, and wash it down with a Bud.
