I love this place in San Francisco and the name too. Its a little place near Le Colonial and is very chill. Its very laid back and comfortable. Not pretentious or snobby in the least bit.
Its a hidden place in such a bustling city but its such a great find. They have all sorts of comfy chairs and tables for you to relax and chat the night way with some close friends.
The pours are generous for their tastings and they also have some plates that you can grab that pair well with the different types of wine.

This tucked away romantic hidey-hole in the back of a boutique hotel screams for a tryst--or maybe just that perfect first date. Even budget-mindful wine-geeks would agree, there's something for everyone on their menu. Occassionally

Pros: Enormous variety with good prices
Cons: Happy Hour fills the place up fast
The Hidden Vine is a cute little gem on Post Street near Le Colonial. If you didn't know it was there, you would never find it.
The room is dimly lit with candles everywhere. The seating is comfortable and the bartender/server is attentive. We had a few of their comparison tastings, which I found really interesting.
It is definitely a little pricey, but not prohibitively so.

Dave and Angela are the perfect hosts and do a great job with thier wine list for variety, price point and uniqueness. Its not a "see and to be seen" place, but a great place to kick back with chill friends and loved ones.\r

The Hidden Vine is the best wine bar I've ever been to. My husband and I discovered it by mistake one evening last year and have been there 1-2 nights a week ever since. The owners, David & Angela, are extremely knowledgable and friendly.

"cozy" is always a codeword for an elephant we're trying to ignore. Here it's a certain stodginess that emanates from the painfully quaint lobby interior and the geriatric, if very nice and knowledgeable, attitude of the staff. Still,
