Hen House Cafe

Best restaurant in town! If you haven't been to the Hen House you've missed a great home cooked meal! Okemah is a great place to visit, to slow down and step back in time a little. It's like having lunch with your family!

GREAT FOOD!!! WONDERFUL ATMOSPHERE!! All home cooked. I always look for those family run cafes as opposed to the fast food chains. WELL I HIT THE JACK POT WITH THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hen house has recenly expanded. They have a huge variety of crafts and antiques and the setting is just so fun to browse in. The parking is the only drawback i can see as a problem, basically just not enough parking spaces. The hen house also recently started serving lunch and dinner. They have two choices per day and the best part everything is less than $5! They have wonderful homecooked food and desserts to die for. This is a place where you can come to shop and eat! you will love it.

PROS: wonderful selection of gifts and fantastic food.
CONS: only open select hours for lunch.
