I highly recommend Monica Joshi. From the first visit, she gave me incredible attention and lots of information, and conducted each session efficiently and with caring. I have an old L5 disk herniation but back issues resurfaced recently and another MRI revealed herniations also in L3 and L4. She always patiently worked with me to alleviate the discomfort. Through her in-office treatments and her exercises that I still do consistently, I'm now pain-free. Having experienced other PT treatments, I can truly say that Monica got me "back" to health in the shortest amount of time!

I've been to four different physical therapists in NYC over the past 10 years, and Back in the Game is the best PT practice by far. Monica Joshi is brilliant. After two sessions, the range of motion in my shoulder improved substantially (flexion, for example, increased 45 - 50 degrees). She knows exactly what areas to target to get the quickest and longest lasting results. She has a no-nonsense approach to treatment, but has a great sense of humor and is a pleasure work with. I can't recommend Back in the Game enough!

I have severe neck pain from arthritis and have tried several other physical therapists, who did nothing to improve my situation. In addition, pain management approaches like epidural steroid injections have not helped.

The therapists at Back in the Game developed a treatment plan for me which combines exercises to increase both strength and flexibility. They have worked with me to learn the proper technique for each exercise, and have done hands-on body work to increase my flexibility. After 8 weeks I have improved posture, more strength and less pain.

They are truly committed professionals, and I often recommend the practice to friends.

I badly herniated the L5-S1 disc eight years ago. Since then I've had three microdiscectomies and four epidermal injections and have seen a dozen physical therapists. Not until I went to Back in the Game did I obtain real and lasting relief. There's no other way to say it. They're miracle workers!!

Monica Joshi is the real thing! She is a consummate professional who puts her patients first. I was skeptical that therapy could cure my pain that was a result of herniated disks in my lower back. One highly acclaimed doctor suggested I could not be cured without surgery.

Monica not only helps with the physical aspects, but also provided emotional healing and support and I credit her in great part to my recovery WITHOUT SURGERY!

I would highly recommend her to anyone without hesitation. She is the best in NYC!

I suffer from Cervical dystonia; a condition that left me with a neck that would not rotate. I was "stuck" looking to the left with unbareable pain. I have been receiving Botox injections every 3 months in my neck which gave me some relief. My doctor recommended Monica at Back in the Game Therapy to me. I have been seeing Monica for about 3 months now and I have seen wonderful results! The pain is lessened considerably and I can rotate my neck to nearly full range. She has "magic hands" and I am so lucky to be in her care. I travel from Orange County, NY once a week to be treated and I do exercises prescribed by Monica two or three times a day at home. Monica and her staff truely care about my recovery what a unique concept!

When my back/ neck pain became unbearable, my doctors prescribed physical therapy. After going to several PTs who simply managed the pain, I was recommended to see Monica at Back In The Game Therapy - and I am so glad I did! Back In The Game optimized the Chinese proverb: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." With Monica, you not only feel better for a day, but you learn how to live a pain free life. There is no magic cure to back pain - it takes a lot of work - but it is worth it! Try Back in The Game - you wont regret it!

I have had back (failed surgery) and assorted injuries. Been to several physical therapists. Hands down, Monica Joshi is by far and away the best-an absolute genius. She brings science with unbridled passion to her work - a very rare combination. She loves what she does and the proof is in the results. She understands the human body and the interactions of all muscles and connective tissues like no one I have ever worked with. She has given me relief and allowed me to get back to a level of physical activity that I have not been at in several years.

Before discovering Back in the Game, I had experienced much frustration with physical therapists over the past two years trying to identify a solution for my knee injury. Following a recommendation, I met with Monica who completed a thorough check of the injured knee followed by a comprehensive series of questions which allowed her to better understand the reasons as to why the injury persisted. Within a few weeks of treatment, I noticed dramatic improvements and following two months of physical therapy, the injured knee was fully recovered. Without Monica's insightful knowledge and thorough follow through with an exercise routine, this knee injury would still be an issue for me. She has a great sense of humor which took the edge off the exercise routines and made me look forward to my bi-weekly visits. It is without hestitation that I highly recommend Back in the Game to anyone who is looking for a professional, extremely knowledgeable, and fun physical therapist who will have you on the road to a complete recovery very soon.

I am (was) a skeptic when it comes to physical therapy....until Monica. She knows EXACTLY what, where, why & how to fix whatever it is that is ailing you. I injured my shoulder from a skiing accident & after 2 months of no treatment had only 1.5 months to get it healed for tennis camp. So while my tennis game still needs help, my shoulder does not. She is incredibly knowledgable, gifted, talented, passionate, motivated & absolute joy to be around. How can you have so much fun while fixing pain? She figures it out. Office staff is wonderful & they are flexible as they can be with scheduling. You will not be sorry, call her up...just don't take my spot, I'm now going to try Pilates. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I've had a great deal of issues with my lower back and hip after surgery and have been to a number of different physical therapists...nobody compares to Monica Joshi. She is meticulous and compassionate and is always motivating me. Monica is my saving grace. I'd still be 50 lbs overweight if it wasn't for this woman. I can't say enough about her. Trust me, after your very first visit, you'll start to feel better...if not physically, definitely mentally because you'll know that you are in exceptional hands!!

Monica is very passionate about getting you better! Not only does she solve the problem that you came to visit her for but more importantly, while manipulating your body determines if there is an imbalance that will make your issue recurrent. She goal is to get you back in game but ensure that you STAY in the game. She takes your goals into consideration as she implements stretches and exercises for you to achieve and remain in your optimal physical state of being.

After 6 months of futile therapy at another location in the City for an injured foot, Back In The Game was recommended to me. Now, after just 4 weeks of highly focused and customized treatment I am near 100% and playing tennis again! Monica Joshi is as knowledgeable as my orthopedist and has that invaluable quality of knowing exactly what treatments are likely to be most effective.
