Elegant Nails & Hair
This is a large salon with parking in the back. After my nails were painted, I was led to a long table against the wall where fans were mounted so that you don't have to turn into a contortionist to dry your toes. I found a lot of magazines to entertain myself with as I waited for my nails to dry. If you want both a manicure and pedicure, it's $20. I find it quite convenient that a grocery and bank is located right across the street. It's nice to kill two birds with one stone (figuratively, of course).
Key Shop
I tried to get my gate key duplicated, but they were quick to spot the "Do Not Duplicate" engraving. Shucks for my boyfriend. The key that they did duplicate (my unit key) was done by the time I finished shopping for groceries, but it was not a smooth entry. I almost returned the key, but my boyfriend found that you just have to jam it in the keyhole before it works.
Voom
Do I look like Ms. Moneybags to you? I will never shop at Voom. There are times when I stumble into an overpriced store just to fantasize that I one day I would be able to purchase something, but I wouldn't walk into this store even if everything were half off. I halfheartedly glanced at a limp leather jacket and almost died when I saw the $349 price tag. Holy cow. Maybe this store should be named Rip Off. Prices aside, I just wasn't satisfied with the selection of clothes offered. It reminded me a bit of shopping at Ross, where you really have to dig for gold. I saw a lot of shirts with patterns that you could probably find in the stationery section of Kinko's. I think the silver lining would be the sales associates who seemed nice.
Coldwell Banker
She sent me the most detailed information on condominiums, but I never got to meet her. She sent me the hugest selection of condominiums which I totally appreciated. I met her assistant Heather instead who was very personable and helpful. I thought it was sweet that she even printed up directions for me. My final conversation with Michele was rushed and strained because she was pressuring me to bid more after our initial offer was rejected. I didn't feel like we were on the same page, but I guess business is business.
Keller Williams Realty
I was dying to get a condominium in the Hollywood area, but the competition must have been fierce because I kept getting either Brock's answering machine or his secretary. When I finally did speak to the Brock, I felt as if he was after the money rather than my best interest. That might be a good thing if I were a seller, but I wanted to buy, so luck wasn't on my side. I noticed that he put up a glowing ad regarding the property that he represented on Craigslist, which i give him due credit for.
Bloom
This place is heaven for you bargain hunters. Everything is less than $20 here. I found a tank top that had a tie-dye scarf attached to it. I love that extra touch of creativity. Even the scarf that I bought here looks like no other. It's classic black, but there are braided tassles at each end. If you like halter tops with the sequin designs, then this store is for you. My friend found a sparkly turquoise bracelet that matched her top perfectly.
Rainbow Sunglasses
The selection that they offer is amazing, and it's cheap too! Don't try to ask for a discount though. I already tried and got shot down. They offer a crazy selection of shades from oversized & colorful to classy & chic. My friend and I bought 6 pairs altogether. I found some hot pink ones and he got sporty glasses. I like the fact that this place near the food court because who isn't hungry after all of that shopping?

Verenice and Tony got back to me at the speed of light. It didn't matter if it was midnight, I could still call them to do some last minute paperwork to secure the condo we wanted. They are a dynamite duo who not only look the part, they get right to the chase. I told them that I'd be calling on them in 10 years when I buy a house because I like they way they work. They helped to negotiate for brand new carpets and knocked $10,000 off the asking price of the unit I bought. The crazy part is that I knew that Verenice was going through some personal problems at the time, but she didn't let that affect her productivity.

She did a pap smear on me, but it hurt like no other! Am I getting fragile and old, or was it Monica's carelessness? I'd like to chalk it up to a sensitive day, but other than that, I love this doc! I went to a different doctor for an ear infection, and he was quick to prescribe me two medications. When that didn't work, I headed to Monica, and she immediately saw that it was a simple case of waxy ears. She told the nurse to flush out my ears with water, and I haven't had a problem since.
Royal Nails Of Westwood
I detest nail technicians who tear through the pedicure in a mad rush. Have no fear, the owner of this salon has the patience of an angel! I waltzed in 10 minutes after closing time, but she was gracious enough to keep the place open for my friend and me. Her attitude really charmed me, and I totally felt at home. I admit that I consider this the #1 nail spa in Los Angeles!
