August One Group Inc
This is the best fast food joint ever! I can't believe that it's never crowded here. Your entree comes with two salads. I'd definitely recommend one of your picks to be the Mandarin salad. Variety is key here. You're allowed to mix and match which items you want grilled. The cashier is very friendly.
Bear Mountain Ski Resort
The girl at the rentals counter insisted that I fit into a size 8 when it was painful for me to even step into the boots. I had to explain that my right foot is actually a different size than my left; to which she icily replied, "We can't give you different sized boots" even though I never made that request. I just wanted her to give me the next size up.
Shangrila
If you want a dynamite set of nails, this is the place to go. Kyoko puts on colored gels that will blow your mind. She also sculpts intricate designs such as bows. The price is high (around $80) but it's fair trade for nails that everyone will envy. She is also a sweet person.
Professional Nail & Skin Care
She did a great job waxing my legs. She took her time and placed the waxing paper from different angles. I also got a pedicure here. The polish stayed on for more than a month! Their top coat is nice and glossy. The girl who painted my nails was very sweet and even gave me dating advice!
Santa Monica College
The counselors at this college really care about the students. I was once a slacker, but the teachers pointed me in the right direction with their patience and empathy. I would highly recommend taking sociology with Guido Piccolo. It's not an easy course, but the course material is invaluable. Parking Lot C is now finished, so it's no longer a struggle to find a spot.
Tea Station
I love the tea here! I've never seen a bigger selection of beverages. They even have an aloe vera drink that's a bit tangy, not to my taste. Their snacks aren't too good. Quite plain actually, but people come here to socialize over tea, not to pig out. It was tough getting the attention of the servers though.
Du Japon Hair Club
I was persuaded to get a 15 minute massage for $10. The massage was nice. My toes were even pampered, but I have no idea what she was doing to my head. She clopped me on the back of the head as a finale, and I was left dazed. I especially enjoyed the shampooing. They gave me the option of being shampooed right in the chair instead of bending over a sink.
Club Cha Cha Inc
The hostesses here are flirty as hell. It makes the atmosphere lively and loud. The set-up is dim but classy. The alcohol is displayed in an oak cabinet that's lit up. The prices are sky high though. Don't be surprised if you spend over a grand here just for one night of drinks and entertainment.
Crystal Lounge
Why would anyone want to pay $30 for a single glass of beer? There's a karaoke machine, but when I tried to use it, it went mute. This bar is as small as a hotel suite, and you can't get much privacy, as you're seated on the same couch that lines thewall as other patrons.
Curry House Restaurant
I signed up for their mailing list and am always getting coupons for 15% off my next meal there. I suggest for people to try the rice pilaf. It's great with a light curry taste. The red turnips go well with the curry. Save some room for dessert too. I really like their vanilla ice-cream.
