when i lived out in west LA, dr. wong was my eye doctor. she was very friendly and professional. her eye examinations were very thorough and she fitted my perfectly for my contacts. the only minor complaint i had was that i had to buy my contacts through her -- might have been an insurance thing -- but i seem to run into this alot with eye doctors. nonetheless, dr. wong is an excellent choice if you're looking for an eye doctor.
i recently stayed at the ritz and was treated to a wonderful spa afternoon. the massage and body scrub treatments were very relaxing. the staff was very professional and courteous. the facilities are great -- standard for a top notch spa -- steam room, sauna, jacuzzi.
sunday brunch is must -- a bit pricey but features everything from sushi to crepes to champagne. the table of mini desserts were delectable!! i could have had desserts all morning...
the rooms are very nice and service is impressive.
my only complaint is that parking is a bit of a pain. you can only park your car by valet and getting your car takes a very long time.
overall, an superb hotel establishment!
This world renowned Taiwanese dumpling house is known for their handmade juicy dumplings. With restaurants in Taiwan and Japan, Din Tai Fong is has some of the best pork dumplings (shiao long bao) that simply melt in your mouth. For dessert, try the red bean dumpling to satisfy the sweet palette. The wait can be long during dinner time so make sure to come early!
i used to get my haircut here all the time. i loved my stylist -- she knew what style and cuts worked best with my hair and personality. the location in brentwood and santa monica was also convenient for the westside. the service is great as well. however, it's gotten a bit pricier over the last few years - about a 30% increase in a two year span.
