This is a hot spot for a day of fishing in the castaic lake and family picnic during summer. The shallow lake area and the chilrens park with all the play equipment, barbeque pits all make this place very appealing

Its a ware house store like costco..but they have a better selection here. I was able to buy all my party needs from disposables to eatables at a fraction of the price, in comparison to buying them all at different places. Membership is free,unlike costco.They have a wide variety in party platters and menu suggestions online too.The convinience and very reasonable prices make shopping there a pleasure.
Sherman Oaks Castle Park
A fun place to have your kids B'day party. They have a mini golf course and arcade games for the kids. For $10 per party guest, they take care of the food, entertainment and games. The cake is ours though.
Topanga State Park
Its a very nice place to burn some calories by hiking and mountain bike riding. Its quite rugged, 36 miles of trails with lots of trees and a view of the pacific Ocean. They have many campsites, exhibits and a wild life viewing hike.
