If you need a break from work, or from stress, though the two are probably the same, you should go check out Dave and Busters. It's a great place to unwind. And it's fun for the whole family.
There are tons of arcade games here. Not just the newest ones, but classics like Daytona USA. Billiards, watergun games, basketball games, and flight simulators are here. There is also games where you can win tokens, coupons, and prizes. IF you play the games that give you coupons, you can trade them in for items at the prize stores.
There is also a bar and a dining are at this place. Get the ribs, they are pretty good. Meet up with your friends for drinks or just go there to watch a game on tv. It's up to you.
PROS: Go here, if you haven't been here before.
This is a cool place. It has IMAX, movie theater, food court, video games, and all other sony electronics. Parking is convenient here and many people like to visit this place. It's even popular with the tourists.
There's all things Sony here. You can check out all the freshest sony gear. There's even a playstation store here. Oh and there's also an arcade here where you can play all the latest arcade games or simulators. Try the bowling ball simulator game.
If you are in San Francisco, be sure to check out the Metreon, it's a great place to kick it. There are multiple levels to this place and maybe you'll bump into some characters from the book "Where the Wild Things Are". I think this is the only store of it's kind in the US?
PROS: Cool and unique place. Must see it to experience it.
This is a decent size mall. There is a good size food court here too. The mall is like by many locals and families. It is conveniently located near a CALTRAIN station and there is a Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstore next to the mall.
There is plenty of parking here and the mall has been renovated recently. The mall is also very easy to get to from the 101. Sure this mall is not as big as Valley Fair Mall, but it is a pretty good size mall that is clean and kid friendly. I'd recommend this mall as it is not too busy and it is not too barren. It's just right to not make you ffel claustrophobic.
PROS: nice place to shop and walk around
Sure Irvine Spectrum Shopping Center is big. Sure there's a movie theater there. Sure there's lot so outdoor shops there. Sure there's a good variety of stores there. Sure there lots of dogs being shown off there. But what good is this place without a reasonable parking situation?
Seriously, I don't think I will ever go back to this place since they block off parking lots and reserve them for their valet services. Sure you can reserve spots for valet service, but 1/2 of the parking lot spaces for the valet service? Come on. That is crazy. And it should be obvious to who ever is running the Irvine Spectrum that it looks really bad when you see alot of cars looking for a regular free spot and the so-called reserved valet spots are EMPTY. Way to watch out for your potential patrons there Irvine Spectrum! not.
CONS: Don't go here. Parking situation is terrbile and unacceptable.
Arco tends not to be as expensive for gas as other gas stations. I like that. This is a good thing since gas prices are too high here in the Bay Area. The review is mainly about the service station that is located behind the Arco gas station but still adjoined and affiliated with the Arco gas station.
This service station does maintenance service and also smog inspections here. The staff there is friendly and non-intimidating like some service staff can become. They answer all of your questions and can get you in and out of there quickly. They have the latest smog equipment there and the smog inspection is reasonably priced.
PROS: If you need a smog inspection, try this place. Friendly and quick service.
I give this store a Satisfactory rating because of it's good Used Equipment selection and it's large selection of photographic supplies. Some of the staff there are friendly, others treat you like you don't even belong in the store. The prices there are actually high, and eventhough they have sales, I wouldn't consider them sales at all. We're talking, a few dollars from the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price sales.
If you are in the market for Used camera equipment, then you should check this place out. They have a lot of Nikon and Canon lenses and bodies, both manual focus and auto-focus. They also have a Digital equipment division of the store across the street. It's pretty packed with printers, scanners, and all the high priced digital equipment. Again, prices are still too high.
I really don't know how this place manages to stay in business. But apparently it has been in business for over 70 years! Some have said that you can get pretty good prices on camera equipment here. But you have to know what you want to get cause they don't seem to like to "waste" time trying to figure out what you are looking for. The store has a display section of cameras they sell. Whether or not it's all of the cameras they sell, I don't know. Also they won't even offer to let you try the cameras in the store or handle the cameras to see if you like what you could be buying.
Don't even bother with this place. The staff there are snobby and will not deal with you unless you know what exactly you want. It is not an inviting environment for anyone who wants to see and handle many cameras. Really, when you go to a camera store, you are looking for service. IF you were looking for a great deal, buy it online.
CONS: Forget about getting any service here. The staff is stuck up and not helpful at all.
Need a camera, need your film developed, need digital prints? Wolf Camera has been around for many years and it is a natinoally recognized chain store. They have a good selection of items, however they don't see to carry the top end Olympus products. Such a shame since they do not have the fine Olympus products. They cater more to Canon and Nikon crowds.
Some of the staff is knowlegable, as some of them consider photography their hobby. It's always good to go in there with an idea of what you are looking for and to know how much it costs at other stores. Wolf Camera does have a price guarantee, but to what degree, I don't know. Bottom line, you are paying for their service, so make sure you get the service you expect. (We all you can find your camera at a lower price online.)
They have a pretty good selection of accessories to choose from. Their frames and photo albums selction is quite good and reasonbly priced too.
PROS: Generally good service.
This store is your one stop shopping location for all your beauty needs. It has shampoo, conditioners, styling products, colorings, etc... And I think some of the locations even have stylists and manicurist! These stores tend to be a pretty good size and they seem to be growing in numbers.
You should check this place out. The staff seems knowlegable and there are good deals to be had on their special products (like shampoo and conditioner packages. They have tons of brand name items here and always seem to have a very good stock of the items on hand. And they keep up with the times with the newest products too. There are many locations in the Bay Area so just look them up, there is bound to be one near you.
PROS: Many locations. Has all beauty supplies you need.
Whoever thought of Sephora should be commended. They have lots of fragrances and cosmetics there to try on and test out. My friend keeps raving about Sephora and always wants to go there just to browse around whenever we hit the malls.
Sephora can get crowded at times and sometimes the lights there are bright and will generate a lot of heat in the store. The staff there are outgoing and will help answer your questions or concerns. They tend to be up on the current trends, as the store carries lots of name brand items and many popular boutique names too.
This store had a pretty good men's section too. They have fragrances for men and many brands of skin car for men.
PROS: Good selection of skin care and fragrances to choose from.
