I originally went there to get my brows shaped. Ida shaped my brows. I was very impressed with the service I received and my brows never looked better. However, Joanie cut my hair. The first time I visited, she kept me waiting for an hour. So, I figured I would arrange for a massage. OMG! I hadn't received a massage that wonderful IN YEARS! Alex did my massage, and it was absolutely outstanding. I was allowed to doze off without him talking to me. When I got back to Joanie to cut my hair, she was still running late and did a rush job on my hair. It was a good cut, but it was rushed. The second time I went, I went early hoping Joanie wouldn't be running late. She still kept me waiting and did a terrible rush job on my hair, cutting out a big chunk right in the middle of my hair. I'd go back to Ida for a wax and Alex for a massage, but steer clear of Joanie for a hair cut. She's terrible.
After recently moving to the area, I found myself being sheistered by several lawn and tree "specialists." I poured money into services that weren't fully rendered - tree companies would show up and say I'd have to pay more for them to completely trim ALL my trees, etc. So, when I called Complete Lawn Service, I didn't know what to expect. A KNOWLEDGABLE rep came out and gave me a VERY educated estimate on my property. They followed through on showing up and did an outstanding job on cleaning and pruning my property. They even came back the next day to complete their job efficiently. They are a little pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for: exceptional yard care services.

I called this florist from out of state to order a bouquet for my friend. Their prices were outstanding, their arrangments are GORGEOUS and they were able to deliver the same day. The person that helped me was very pleasant and accomodating, and walked me through the many options and bouquets that they provide. They even called my friend to make sure she was home before they delivered. To follow up with only the best customer service, they sent me a Thank You card! Customer service is so rare these days, and Down To Earth EXCEEDS OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I took my four year old in for a cleaning, and he was so relaxed in Dr. Egber's office that he almost fell asleep in the dentist chair! He's the best dentist in the area! And his front office staff is outstanding.

I take my 4.5 and 3 year old to this office, and all of the doctors have the best bedside manner, and treat their patients with the greatest care. Dr. Richard Schwartz is fantastic with my younger children. When he walks into the room, he engages in conversation at THEIR level, not mine. He gets them chatting and laughing, making them comfortable, so that he can ask THEM (not me) questions about how they are feeling. Even when they are sick, they leave with a smile on their face.
He gives very accurate diagnoses, and offers a variety of methods to treat the physical ailments, and then lets the me figure out which would be the best course for my children. However, at times, he has offered only one solution, but I trust him considering he was voted as one of the best peditricians in Washington Parent Magazine.
I would HIGHLY recommend this office for your children. The best staff, the best doctors, the best environment, the best care!

Though some of the sitters can be unreliable, Sandy, the owner of the company is exceptionally helpful and easy to communicate with. For long term services, the sitters can be unreliable, depending on which way the wind is blowing. However, Sandy works very hard to accomodate your needs, especially if you are in a pinch.
PROS: The owner is nice and goes out of her way to accomodate you.
CONS: Some of the sitters don't commit
I drove by this place and thought, "My boys need haircuts." I didn't realize what time it was until the gentleman who worked there said, "You made it just in time." It was 5:55 pm, and they closed at 6:00 pm. Nevertheless, they took us in. I'm a little particular about my boys' haircuts, and Chris did an absolutely perfect, perfect hair cut on both boys. They were intrigued with the sports that were played on the widescreen TV, as were everyone else there. In the back is a weight bench, if you decide to press a couple of pounds.
The price is right. I couldn't be happier with the service. Recommended!

I was first interested in Sunset because they have such a good rating with the Better Business Bureau.
When I called, they seemed interested in the type of party that I was going to have, and made every effort to get the perfect DJ for my 40th Birthday (Godfather Style). What seemed even better was the price (very competitive).
Even though they set me up with a flakey DJ, they stepped up to the plate and fixed the problem three weeks before my event. They apologized, made numerous phone calls to me, and hustled to find the perfect DJ for the huge party.
This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. They set me up with a guy named Eddy Leisure. Wow! Eddy rocked the house with ALL of the perfect music. Additionally, Eddy can dance, and he literally swept me off my feet (my husband didn't mind).

First, I am astounded at how much television they let these children watch, especially the two to four year olds. I had no idea that Disney was part of the Virginia Educational Standards; particularly movies like Hercules, that was given a "C" rating at Parent Previews, for sexual content and violence.
When I addressed this with the Director, (after my four year old had seen it without my consent) she dismissed my concerns, and continued to show these wretched movies to the children.
This was the beginning of an uphill battle.
The director and assistant director are adamant at treating my concerns with discontent and rudeness, instead of addressing my worries. Case in point: My son came home one night and showed me a scratch on his private parts. He said two girls beat him up and scratched his private area (the really tender part).
When I brought this up with the director, she told me that boys get into spats on the playground! She showed no concern, nor addressed any means for fixing this problem!
Additionally, over the course of a six-week period, my two year old was coming home with SERIOUS bite wounds, two to three times a week. Two year olds can be difficult to control with this type of behavior, however, the staff was completely unaware that he had been injured at all, and showed little or no concern when we brought it to their attention.
The kicker? When my husband went to the director to discuss a SERIOUS diaper rash (blisters) on my two year old, she yelled at him and defended her stance that her staff is doing their job.
If they were doing their job, then why did he have a serious diaper rash? Why were they unaware of the bite marks? Why did my son have a scratch on his private parts? Why was the staff at Grasshopper Green unaware of this SERIOUS scratch? Why would my two-year-old say that the teachers yell at him? In addition, why were they having serious nightmares from the junk the school was letting them watch for hours at a time?
A patient and caring staff is required to provide adequate care to preschool age children. Unfortunately a staff with these qualities is completely absent at Grasshopper Green. Simply put, they ARE NOT doing their jobs!
CONS: inattentive staff, too much TV, doesn't care about parental concerns, rude!
The customer service is outstanding. I was able to set up an appointment the same week I called them. They gave me a time window in which they would show up. The called 1/2 hour before they came. I asked for a couple of extra services that weren't on my original order and the gentlemen changing my locks was able to accomodate me. He was upfront about the costs before he set to work. And, he did a clean, very clean job. He was very knowledgable in his services and treated, me, the customer, with respect (which is rare in this day and age). If you want great, reliable service, go with Baldinos.
