While the education at this school might not be up to par with Torrey Pines, students that attend Kearny have a better shot at going to a better college due the location and atmosphere of the school. Recently, the school turned the 4 by 4 program which has increased the graduation rate on campus. They also divided up the school into academies that cater to the student's abilities.
When I go to a guitar I expect to be encircled by beautiful gibsons and Vintage fender but this store just doesn't do it for me. The guitars are cheaper brands which helps out the price but do you really want a guitar that can't rock that hard? It's not the same. If you are a beginner I guess this would be a good place to start at but, their guitars arn't very hot.
I advise any one, any race, any gender to have a cup of tapioca tea here. The iced version even taste better. I love how the store has a sealing machine that seals the top of the cup so they fluid doesn't spill out. By doing this, they are also able to fill up the drink to the brim which is cool. My favorite part is popping the cup with your straw. So cool.
This store is almost the size of walmart but it is just for animal supplies. They have books on everything and then the actual things you need to keep your pet's heart beating. The employees are really knowledgeable and can help you with almost any problem you might have. They do have the 18 and up buy animal rule which is kind of cool so you don't have little kids abusing them.
Since I live in Scripps Ranch, this is school is just right around the corner from me. Everyone that goes here is a foreigner so I see no point in going if you are already a citizen. The school has a private school tuition and I don't think the education compares to that of SDSU.
I've been here a several times but I don't think I would keep coming back if I didnt' have a friend that worked there and got an employee discount. The food is good but isn't great. Nothing too special but they do have a house soup every day which is sort of cool. Eating in can be tricky because the restaurant is the size of a cafe.
Growing up in San Diego, Sea world is my favorite place for family fun. It's a lot more entertaining than the zoo but also has a lot of educational opportunities. You can go up and pet a sea star or even a sting ray. Then you can visit many shows such as the shamu show and the sea otter show which are quite funny. The food is expensive though, like any amusement park.
If you like me and are turn of my hollywood blockbusters that seem just like the one you saw last week, Landmark is the place to go to watch independent films. All of them are probably not the best movies but you will find gems here and there. You can find SunDance winners here every week. My only complaint is that the theatre uses the old style of seating which can be a little difficult to see the entire screen if you are sitting behind a tall person. Other than that, this is the best theatre in san diego.
Owned and operated by this loving family, Walter Andersen is a great place to go for all of your planting needs. The store is almost three times as big as the planting section at the local Home depot. Not only that but they also house exotic plants that are difficult to find else where. No matter what your taste is, you will find something that you like, if not love at Walter Andersen.
For my skateboarding needs I usually don't go to Wavelines because it is out of the way. However, if you live around here, it is a pretty cool surf shop that has stuff for surfers, skaters and snowboarders. The prices are pretty hefty but it makes up for the great selection.
