Play it again sports is a small sports store that is really not worth visiting unless you are looking for baseball equipment. It is very small and even though it is supposed to be cheap and sometimes secondhand, it is mostly very expensive and not worth goin to play it again sports for. Overall, I would say that many other, bigger sports stores are much better for buying sports equipment.
Big 5 is an okay sporting goods store. It isn't as good as Sports Chalet or many others, but it is closer. It is very small and only has okay prices for the few sporting goods it does carry. Overall, it is probably not worth to go and chance not finding what you are looking for.
Sports Chalet is a great place to find everything for your sporting needs. It is a very large sporting goods store that is also a great place to find ski and snowboard rental at a very reasonable price. So if you are looking to rent skiis or snowboards and have a big enough car to bring them up the mountain, Sports Chalet is the place for you.
Road Runner sports is an incredible place to buy shoes and apparel for all types of runners and basically everyone in the family. The employees are extremely helpful and even teach you about lots of types of shoes. The prices are a little steep, but these can be avioded by going to the two big sales of the year where most prices are halved.
The Salvation Army is a great place to find cheap ... well ... everything. There are cheap clothes, great for dress up high school dances and such, as well as lots of furniture and a huge selection of shoes and other stuff. All in all, the Salvation Army is a great place to find anything, and to find anything extremely sheap.
Hollister is a very fashionable store that is extremely popular. Many teens and people in their twenties like to go to Hollister for their good advise and fashionable output. It is midline for pricing, somewhere between Abercrombie and American Eagle. It, like Abercrombie, is somewhat meterosexual, yet the people at Hollister are much more friendly and fun.
American Eagle is a great store for slmost every teenager and for many people in their early twenties. It's style is a lot like Abercrombie and Fitch, yet much less expensive, I think more stylish, and with no roaring music and employees that completely ignore you. It is still somewhat expensive, yet most of the clothes fit very well and look very good. I recommend this to anyone looking for a good style.
Is it just me, or does every Abercrombie & Fitch look and sound exactly the same. The all have loud music blaring, a huge picture of a shirtless guy in the doorway, and all of their employees completely ignore you. The style is a little bit meterosexual, but classy, many girls like Abercrombie. It is also very expensive and, I think, completely not worth the price.
The Old Spaghetti factory was a great restaurant right in downtown San Diego. Being right next to the convention center, it has a great location and was a very interesting restaurant. Unfortunately it is no longer, but will hopefully be back before long. I love you Old Spaghetti Factory!
Old Town is a great feature of San Diego, especially the Bazaar del Mundo, the many restaurants as well as the leather good shop! The Bazaar del Mundo is a great little city center with many fun shops and lots of Mexican heritage, after all, San Diego was originally founded because of a mission! The restaurants have great authentic Mexican food that is a little expensive but definitely worth it. I especially love the leather shop in Old Town, because I've bought a belt buckle from there.
