This is a great place to shop. You can find terriffic items at great prices and help out a good cause at the same time. You never know what gems you'll find here - the place is huge and there is so much stuff to look through. It's all arranged very nicely, which is a definite plus when it comes to thrift stores. Maybe not the place to Christmas shop but a good spot to pick up some items for yourself.
This is the spot to pick up a gift for the Sinatra or Sopranos fan on your gift list. They have all sorts of Italian themed gifts, including great music, decorative items and of course religious statues. The staff is really wonderful - they make you feel like a welcomed visitor not simply a customer. They're located in the heart of LIttle Italy so be sure to have lunch while you're in the neighborhood.
You won't find the typical mega toy store toy here. You will find tried and true classic toys from your childhood. You'll find some great dolls, games, action figures and even lunch boxes that will bring you right back to the school cafeteria. The prices aren't bad and the toys are made to last. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions, the staff will be more than happy to share their ideas.
When you want to give a really great impressive gift but don't have time to shop the entire mall three times over, come to fill-r-up. They will create a gift basket that will impress! They will create a basket for any occasion under the sun. To start, the basket itself will be occasion appropriate and the goodies inside will be part of the theme as well. You can have a gift created in any price range.
With fall just about here it's a great time to start thinking about your Halloween plans. What better place to go than the Halloween Adventure Shop. They have costumes to fit all tastes and sizes. You can be a superhero, a film character or something totally unique and unexpected. They have great masks and wigs as well as makeup to transform you. Who'd have thought a Halloween shop would be open year round??
Metropolis Collectibles has an amazing collection of comic books. This would make any comic book collector envious. They have all of the usual suspects, but also have some hard to find titles and editions. This is a great spot to shop for that hard to buy for person on your gift list. They also have some really nice gift items as well. The staff is well versed in their stock.
This is a really fun place to shop. You will find a different sort of antique here. This isn't your typical stuffy antique store. They seem to have found fun antiques and have gathered them all in one spot. They will also take requests and will try to fill them as best they can. The staff is great and will go out of their way to make you a happy shopper.
I always shop at the Yankees Clubhouse before Christmas. I've got a few die hard Yankees fans on my gift list and they're always pleased with the items I pick up here. They have the items you'd expect - such as caps, shirts and bats but they also have lots of unique items such as memorabilia and even trash cans! The prices aren't bad and you'll have some truly happy Yankees fans!
Just about anything you buy at Thomas Pink will set you back quite a few bucks. I don't think this store has ever heard the word "discount" and "Clearance" is a dirty word here. Their clothing is on the far end of the high end scale. The prices are out of most budgets but since this is NYC there are plenty of folks who can afford to shop here. They do have a wonderful selection of clothing and accessories, including some really beautiful ties. I must admit I did consider buying a tie but just couldn't get past the price tag!
Who knew there was a store devoted to umbrellas? I'm guessing this store does a brisk business on a cloudy day! They have great classic umbrellas to choose from at slightly higher prices than you'd find at department stores but the quality is much higher. They also have some really fun umbrellas that will brighten up the dreariest rainiest day!
