Angie's Bakery has yummy cakes. It's also starting to venture out with bagels and other pastries/breakfast items. The owners are so incredibly nice. They make you want to just keep going back again and again.

Paper N Things Inc

Paper N Things has long been one of my favorite shops to browse in. I ordered both of my children's birth announcements from there and was well pleased. They offer a wonderful selection of announcements and invitations as well as alot of other neat things.

Goodwood Hardware & Outdoors

Goodwood Hardware is all about great service. Staff members are always available to take you right to the item you're looking for and answer questions to the best of their knowledge. It's family owned and they take pride in their work.

The Little Gym of Baton Rouge

The Little Gym of Baton Rouge is a great place for your young children to participate in fun structured exercise. It's noncompettitve, so the kids can just concentrate on having a great time. Unfortunately, it's a little too expensive for us.

Our Father's Garden

Our Father's Garden is a wonderful contribution to the community. The staff plants, grows, and harvests fruits and vegetables. Children and parents can tour the garden and even help out in the fun. A trip to Our Father's Garden makes lots of great memories.

Our Lady of Mercy Moms and Tots

I absolutely love OLOM Moms & Tots. We've been going since my daughter was six months old. It's nice to sit and chat with other moms. The kids have a great time running around playing. At the end we gather in a circle and sing songs.

Hope Chest

I'm not much into tea, but my daughter attended a birthday party at Hope Tea Chest. The children enjoyed dressing up and sipping tea, especially the girls. The staff did a great job with the kids.

Jump N Jive

My kids love Jump N Jive. My little girl especially. We go there with friends. The kids have a blast running around. It's super clean and pretty safe. The only downside is when older kids get to rambunctious.

PROS: great indoor fun for kids
CONS: rowdy big kids can run over the smaller children

Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread has am impressive selection of specialty breads. They are delicious, too. Some of my favorites are delivered to a family grocery store.

Ambrosia Bakery

You've got to try Ambrosia Bakery's cinnamon rolls. Talk about heaven! It also has a strawberry cake that is legendary. If you need a sweet during the holidays it's the place to be. But be prepared to stand in line because Ambrosia Bakery is no secret in Baton Rouge.
