Treehorn Books is a jewel in downtown Santa Rosa. With their wonderful selection of gently used books you can find some real treasures there. Take a bit of time to peruse their endless shelves. Bring in your good condition used books to trade in for store credit. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff!
My life in Sonoma County would not be complete without Hampton Court! A decadent place to find gifts for yourself and (oh, what the heck), even for others! From exquisite feminine jewelry to luxurious bath and body products - hand selected from around the world, and even a few local treasures! Not to mention the Victoriania & Deco gift items and clothing! My mum and I call it the "torture store", as it is near impossible to simply go in for a specific item and not leave with several unexepected "essentials". One must drop by to fully experience!
The staff at Wisemans is both friendly and caring. They do comprehensive auto work from oil changes to smog checks, engine work to brakes. They are a long-time, family run local business who are honest and do impeccable work for reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

This is a great place if you need dishware, casual clothes or random home furnishings. Give yourself a bit of time, as there are tons of racks to sort through for the clothing - some jems from great labels and designers and truly funky vintage items - but you have to hunt for them! Really good pricing for the area.
CONS: They have a mini-parking lot with one entrance/exit at a busy intersection.
Not a bad locale in historic Railroad Square, and the menu is good as well. Can be rather noisy at times and I find it a bit over-priced for the environment and what you get in service and portion size.
No one knows how to help North Bay home fixit and gardening enthusiasts than Yardbirds. They have a hometown service etiquette and a national home improvement store selection. Tons of parking and everything you'll need from gardening to plumbing to overall DIY supplies.
I absolutely love this theatre! It offers a unique and varied concessions stand - with much higher quality snacks and drinks than the multiplex theatres. Their movie selection is amazing for a smaller town and one of the best in Nor Cal outside of San Francisco. Independent, Cult and Foreign films straight from Sundance and Cannes!
PROS: You never saw this much available parking in the City!
This is a great theatre in a perfect central downtown location with good parking. This is the place to catch those movies you never got a chance to see when immediately released and before they go to DVD. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby...discounted matinees too!
