They offer a rich and diverse curriculum, with classes in the theory, history, and aesthetics of multimedia, as well as in its design, tools, and business practices. Nearly 100 multimedia producers, artists, designers, and business professionals bring their insight, experience, and intimate knowledge of the multimedia industry into the classroom. A great way to extend your mutimedia education or learn a new talent altogether!
CONS: Parking! Take any of the MUNI or BART lines that run along Market St.!
I've been eating here for 20 years now and still absolutely love the atmosphere, traditional Thai dancing, shoes off policy and wonderful food. A great place to take visitors to the City and a great first date Thai food restaurant!
Sloat Garden Center is a San Francisco and North Bay standard for all of your indoor and outdoor gardening needs. You can find the most gorgeous orchids and outdoor perennials at affordable prices and all plants are kept in excellent condition on premises! Check their website for locations in the Bay Area.
I have never been disappointed by the variety and broad scope the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts offers to not only its members and patrons, but to the artists who actually show there. I've seen Kronos Quartet, gone to an electronic music art installation/showing, saw "101 Days of Sodom" and a lovely modern Russian ballet. Not to mention the park, the MLK waterfall and the modern architecture of the place. Love it.
I've been going to Buffalo Exchange for over a decade to trade in and buy the best in thrift store clothing. Anything from vintage 80's prom dresses to fetish wear to Betsey Johnson - and if you bring in a pile of good condition, unique items to sell, you'll have some cash in hand or more fun things to wear at the end of it all! The cashiers are friendly and nice - no attitude like many other buy/sell places. It's the first and usually only place I go for clothes.
