grab a beer some half way decent food and get your movie on at this joint. good place for a first date or last date. sometimes the seat hurts my butt, but who cares after a pitcher of beer?

who doesnt? use these guys. they are way good. the service is helpful and friendly and the prices are reasonable. they were even having a big sale when I called to get an arrangement for a funeral.

Whole Foods

why is it that healthy food is so expensive? if you've got a better job than I do, may i recommend this little gem? plenty of good food at expensive prices. i'm sure you can beat it, but your body wont like you.

Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech

in a world where there's a barnes and noble on every corner, this one's not so bad. plenty of books and overpriced coffee to sate your need to consume. Although, I'd probably recommend hunting down your local privately owned bookshop, but that's the hippy in me speaking.

Conway is the store for you. I browse at whatever location is close by and I can usually find a $4 shirt that I really dig. And if you ruin it, who cares? You spent $4.

Pass the Paint

I had the pleasure of working with the wonderful people at Pass the Paint. They were attentive and caring and wanted to make my birthday party memorable. My friends and I had the most fun painting plates and frames. It was such a treat receiving them afterwards. I will use this company again... Fo sure.

Great atmosphere, good food, moderate prices is what you will find at Dakshin. I recommend the tasting platters...they come in two varieties: vegetarian or non vegetarian. Also, go there for lunch. They have an excellent all you can eat buffet. The service is great, too.

Island Burgers and Shakes

Island Burger is a great casual joint in Hell's Kitchen known for it's HUGE and tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches and yummy milkshakes. Perfect for a first date. Don't be disappointed when your order for french fries is denied. They have an explanation on the menu. They do offer potato chips, though.

Rice

I LOVE this restaurant! Reasonably priced, great casual yet upscale atmosphere. There's an excellent selection of food, especially if you're a vegetarian. I recommend the Shrimp Satay or Tofu Steak. The tea selection is divine. You should def try the array of honeys they have to offer. Be sure to get there early, though. There's usually a wait at dinnertime, as the dining room is small.

CONS: small, crowded at peak times
