These guys are right next to Target. I admit I try Target first - but then if I don't find just the right thing. . . I'll pop in here. The selection is of course, huge. And I've got their Crown card which helps.
Visions In Education
My daughter goes to Visions. She will be in the 11th grade next year. Each year we are sent brand new books for her studies. She meets with her teacher one-on-one every other week, unless she needs help with something then she meets as needed. There are additional teachers availale to tutor on specific subjects at the library. But she's only used that once. I like the attention that she gets and the quality of education that she is exposed to.
24 Hour Fitness
I love this club. I've been a 24hr member since 1986. I love the step classes. This gym is about 9 years old. It's large and clean. Always crowded. Sandra Augustin, one of 24's master trainers - kicks butt! She is professional enthusiatic and inspirational. There is a pool here and a b ball court.
Bel Air Markets
This is one of my favorite stores. Can you window shop in a grocery store? I find myself just being drawn to wander down each aisle - even if I'm only looking for a certain item. They have a wonderful selection. And I love the Oriental food take-out. I don't have to cook when I put the groceries away. Yeah! THEE best staff - really. All of them are people people. A little pricey, but gosh I feel good when I'm in there!
Raley's
Ralph's isn't my favorite store. I never get fresh produce. Their selection is always kinda skimpy. But - if you like to double your coupons - this is the store for you! The cashiers are nice and it's a new store. Just not my style of shopping.
Save Mart
This is my main grocery store. Yeah, I wish they had Oriental take-out like their competitors, and I don't care for their new self check-out (there is no room for you to place the items after you scan them!!!) - but they can't seem to completely scare me away. Maybe it's their hot french bread. . . I just keep going back. Their pricing policy is good.
Payless Shoe Source
Who doesn't like a good BOGO (buy one get one. . .free)??
I like shoes and this store has lots to choose from. I like the way the aisles are arranged - it's the same in every store. The cashiers are always nice - they seem like they enjoy working there.
Target
This is one of my favorite stores. I'm always at Target. I like their clothes, makeup, toiletries, and 1 hour film developing. Although I rarely get my film in an hour. Sometimes it's two or three. But it's because they're popular and busy - not because they're slow.
CVS/Pharmacy
I like this store and the pharmacy section. They are very good at getting more cashiers - I hardly ever wait in line. I've shopped at Long's for over 30 years - I'll always go there. There is a good selection of merchandise and lots of things are always on sale.
California Check Cashing Stores
This store is always crowded - but I think it's because it's just that popular. Sometimes I wish more cashiers were available. But the lines do move along, and you can find really good bargains. I always like the greeters.
