Pizza Hut
I placed an order over the phone, waited just a little bit and by the time I got there - my pizza was waiting for me. Sure they were friendly and efficient, but I was puzzled when they asked for a tip (hey, I was picking it up and taking it home) - I was thrown for a loop - but I gave them $1. The pizza was good - just the experience was odd. And I've picked up pizzas there before and was never asked for a tip. I guess I really like the pizza. . .
Park Avenue $2.00 Cleaners
This is much more my price range for dry cleaning! And they have same day service. They will also launder your shirts. The staff is friendly and I really love the price.
Almost Perfect Used Books
If you like to read - then you probably have lots of books around that you won't pick up again. You can sell or trade them here and get something someone else is done reading. They also trade DVD's.
Jade Ii Nails
This shop is very clean. The staff is friendly - english is their second language, but they communicate okay with you. They are pretty popular, so sometimes there is a wait. Quite a few people came in for a quick eyebrow waxing while I was there - so that must be a popular treatment too.
Laguna Skates
Friday nights are Teen Skate night and it costs only $5 and that includes the skate rental! It's not got the newest interiors - but it's well maintained and clean. There are games and food for when you're not skating. It's fun!
Shergill Optometry
Her office is located in Costco. I didn't have to make an appointment - which was nice. There wasn't a long wait - and I was able to buy the glasses at Costco prices! Her office was clean and modern - the waiting room is tiny - but you can wander around Costco while you wait!
McConnell Estates Winery
McConnell's is a family winery. I guess most are, but you see the generations when you go there. They have a few special annual events and a wine club. And then there's the wine tasting. Some of their wines have won awards - it's very easy to get to - they are right off the freeway.
Best Buy
There is a great selection of merchandise here - but there's also a wait for someone to help you. The staff is friendly and there's definately lots to look at while you wait.
Mail & More
This store is small but not crowded - even when there are lots of customers inside. I like to mail packages from here, they are efficient and friendly. I've also done copying on the copiers and they are always working - not like the ones at work that always breakdown or have the copier guy fixing them.
Trader Joe's
I don't know what I like more about Trader Joe's, the prices or the selections. . . The store is always clean - the staff is friendly and helpful. I love tasting their samples!! My daughter is a vegetarian and loves this store - when I have guests with special dietary needs - I always go to Trader Joe's!
