Why go to Walmart when you can shop here? It's a happy place where you can find pretty much anything you've got on your shopping list, in one place. Sam Walton, you've been beaten.
I have only one complaint about Nashville Bicycle, and that is that they don't carry used bikes. If you're willing to shell out big bucks for a new one, however, this is a good place to do it. The staff knows their stuff and are more concerned about getting you the right bike than making an extra buck by selling you something you won't need.
I've only eaten at the Midtown Cafe once, so take my view with a grain of salt. My order of french fries and two side veggies cost about $10, and the food was okay, but Ted's Montana Grill offers a huge baked potato and better-tasting veggies for about half the price.
I recently ate at the Sunset Cafe for the first time, and found it to be a very pleasant place with a nice atmosphere and attentive staff. However, I was disappointed in the tiny size of the portions. In my book, they offer too little food for too much money.
Cumberland Transit has a great selection of outdoor gear...camping, cycling, and other fun stuff, but prices are high. It's a fun place to look around in, but if you're on a budget, there are better deals to be had elsewhere.
The Green HIlls News reads like a small town paper, complete with a section called "ticked off" that lets readers sound off about (often dumb) things that are bothering them. Good for a laugh and to find out where the local garden club meets.
Broadway Music is a good place to go when you're looking for used gear, from drums to amps to guitars to keyboards. Prices aren't the lowest around, but there is sometimes room for bargaining, so ask for a lower price if you feel it's warranted.
The nice thing about the Sportsplex is their drop-in policy; anyone can use the facility at any time for a small fee. Memberships are available too, from one month to one year in length. Note: extra fees apply to indoor tennis courts.
Off Broadway shoes is the best place to shop for great price and selection. They carry lots of deeply discounted shoes, from running shoes to dress shoes to hiking boots. If you can't find it here, you won't find it anywhere.
Team Nashville is where the serious runners shop. The staff is knowlegeable about what they sell and won't stock any product that they feel does not measure up. Shoes are their bread and butter, but they also sell running attire.
