the best things about this place isyou can read as you eat and just borrow a book at the bigest bookstore around and just read and eat. It is fantastic. The patio is Ok but the food and books are a-ok.

Wendy's

This is a room with a view type restaurant. what a great view while you eat. The food is great and the view of the Kona coast is better. Eat here and love it.

Walmart

Wal mart has everything. It is also the friendliest store I ever shopped in. I really like the greeter guy. It is about the only store in the world that says hi when you walk in the door. service and stuff, that's Wal MArt

ATM (Honalo Shell Food Mart)

This store is just perfect. I teach school and this store is right on the way to the school. It is in a perfect location. Going south out of town, this is the place to stop and shop.

Kona Discount Mart

Discount marts are always nice especially when they are in Hawaii. It is always so easy and cheap to visit this store. I recommend it to tourists and locals alike.

Wal Mart Supercenter

I went here once. It was easy and the person was nice. Wal Mart has such a good reputatition for being nice and cheap. They have cheap, throw away cameras too and this is nice too.

Island Mini Mart

I have encoutered some grumpy people serving me here but they are mostly nice. The gas is pretty high but the ice cream is cold and it is easy to get to, right off the highway so overall it's ok

CONS: grumps

Banyan Mart

It's where the surfers come to grind. After a good day of surfing you can always go to the Banyan Mart and a friendly face will greet you and they even give free ice to the good customers.

Matsuyama Food Mart

Matsuuyama's, what a funky place. Funky in a good way. The ladies there are almost too happy. The prices are great too.
It always saves a trip to town to go there.

Walmart

They always full of Aloha. They greet you at the door with a big old smile and even walk with you to find your stuff. It is always a pleasure to go to Wal Mart.
