A whole store devoted to Origins products,which you can also find in department stores like Nordstroms and Meir and Frank.The nice thing about this store is the variety they have there and the expanded gift items not found in the department store.The staff is more focused on the products they sell and I think more knowledgable.Ask to sign up for their birthday mailing list.You get a card worth $10 to use toward products as a birthday present there.A nice touch.In Pioneer Place.
This store in an old building near Dishman Pool has some great deals.This is where Multnomah Cty. Library sells off it's extra/old books.I've found some really good deals here.They also sell magazines,cassette tapes,and videos.You never know what you might find so keep looking! Volunteers help staff the store.Parking is on the street,but you can usually find a spot.Large kids section.A good place to help your kids build up their own library at a reasonable cost.
Great selection of many titles and subjects.Cards and some gift items.This bookstore suppports local writers and poets with instore readings.One of the remaining independent stores in an age of mega bookstores.Nice people and no pressure to hurry.The staff are very helpful if you are looking for book ideas or a certain book you can't remember the title of.On street parking isn't hard to find on that stretch of Broadway.
Mystery lovers paradise.Frequent author events in the store.The owners are a great resource for new books to read and helping you find that perfect book.They put out a store newsletter that keeps you updated on new releases and events.The store is small but it has a big heart! They buy used mystery books and you can get store credit to use.You can also find a good deal on a used book among the new ones.I highly recommend this shop.It's one of a kind!
This is such a fun store! They have a great selection of toys and educational items.Playskool and Brio are covered here.Not just the typical toys in this store.They have great sales throughout the year and in store events your kids will love.There is some store parking in a small lot but you usually need to find a spot on the street.Good luck! Other than that it's a great experience.

An independently owned children's bookstore in the Beaumont neighborhood.Knowledgable owner and staff to help you make selctions for that child in your life.Wide range of ages covered.In store events often with authors.Some educational products for your child or if you are a teacher.The bookstore will also do book fairs for your school or organization.A very friendly place to spend time.Kids love this store!
Relaxing music as you browse among a wide selection of books about healing and spirituality.Yoga videos and products and candles.A meditation room upstairs for you to use if you want.They have a catalogue of their many classes and events.Some off street parking behind the store,otherwise visualize a parking space on the street.They also have some used books for sale to if you want to save a little money.
I love this shop.They carry a wide selection of natural fiber clothing,accessories and jewelry.The have frequent sales and have very helpful staff.You can put together an outfit that is versatile with their help.If you travel a lot they have outfits that travel well and can be used for different occasions.Located in a small shopping area off of Capitol Hwy. where Wild Oats and Starbucks are located.Parking is in a lot and you can usually find a parking shop close to the store.
This unusual gift shop in the Beaumont neighborhood is a treat.From garden gnomes to bacon bandaids it runs the gamut in fun and beautiful gifts-for yourself or for someone else.The owners are very friendly and committed to the Beaumont neighborhood.The website gives you a good idea about the sense of humor of the owners.Parking is easy to find close by and 'you can visit some of the other fun businesses in the Fremont Commons building.The shop is located directly across from Foxfire Teas toward the back of the building.This shop is definitely a thumbs up!Reasonable gifts.
This store is a treat.This is a well known mail order company that many people have ordered from before they located here.Huge bath bombs that smell wonderful and look amazing.Many of their products have been featured in magazines nationally.They have hair and skin products for both men and women.The loaves of soap that you can buy slices of are beautiful! You have to see this store in person.FUN!
