Not only does Nordstrom have a great selection for both men and women, they have impeccable service. The staff here is truly in a class of its own. They are extremely knowledgable and helpful beyond belief. They will assist you in any department and find exactly what you are looking for.
PROS: Great Selection and Service
Amoeba Music in Hollywood is by far the best music and DVD store in all of Los Angeles. They have an unbelievable selection of both new and used CD's in every genre. Also, their DVD selection is nothing to sneeze at. They have many new and used DVD's to select from. Also, bring your used music and movies in and they will buy themm off of you.
PROS: Great Selection. Great Prices
CONS: Unfriendly Service
The El Capitan Theattre is the best place, hands down, to see a Walt Disney Pictures film. Both the sound and picture are use state-of-the-art digital components. The seats have very thick padding, which make watching even a bad film comfortable. Also, there are usually exhibits about the film that provide insight and a lot of interesting facts aout the film's production.
PROS: Great Experience
While some of Abercrombie & Fitch's clothes are nice looking, they never change. That is to say their styles remain the same year after year. The clothes are of average quality. The prices, on the other hand, are not. The merchandise in the store is way over priced. Then there is the loud music you can hear from down the hall. Finally, there are the employees who are almost non-existent. It is almost impossible to get someone to help you at Abercrombie.
Long's Drugs Tarzana is a terrible store. I would not even send my worst enemy here. It is always super busy. The employees know absolutely nothing about nothing. Also, the employees are extremely rude and extremely unhelpful. There is always a 2-hour wait to get prescriptions filled. I dread shopping here.
CONS: Way Too Busy
While Fry's might ahve a large selection and very low prices, they lack one quality: customer service. Most of the employees know nothing about the products they are selling. A lot of the products are seconds. They have the worst return policy. When you try to return something, they make sure every little piece of paper and all the packaging are there.
PROS: Good Selection, Low Prices
CONS: Poor Customer Service. Bad Return Policy
Big O Tires in Tarzana is a phenomenal tire store. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgabel. The most important quality they possess is that they are very honest. If only 2 tires are worn, they will only sell you 2 tires. They will not try to talk you in to buying 4 all new tires. They carry performance tires to heavy duty tires as well as run-flat tires.
PROS: Affordable. Honest
The Apple Store at the Grove is an attraction not to be missed. Even if your not planning on buying an Apple product, it is still a lot of fun to just visit and browse this two-story store. The store itself is beautiful and the staff iare very friendly and helpful. This is the best Apple Store in the Los Angeles area.
CONS: Very Busy
Center BMW is one of the busiest BMW dealerships in the San Fernando Valley. This is a bad thing especially when it comes to getting your car in for service. Unless its an emergency, it can take a few weeks until you can get a nappointment and a loaner car. However, the service staff is very knowledgable and good at what they do.
Urab Outfitters is by far the best clothing store for college students. They have the hippest and most trendy clothes around. While their prices may be a bit steep, their sales are phenomenal. The service is alright, but could be better. They have a large selection for both men and women. Overall, Urban Outfitters is the first place I go to when I need to buy new clothes.
PROS: Large Selection, Great Sales
