Wannemaker's is a great place to buy plants, flowers and EVERYTHING else for your garden. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a large selectin of plants. Nearly anything and everything you could want. It's a great place to just browse and you will end up leaving with so many beautiful items!
They also carry ponds and pond supplies. With a large selection of aquatic plants and fountains.
Their annuals and vegetable plants are a more expensive then what you might get at a grocery store but the quality makes them the better value.

They see that your car gets fixed in a reasonable amount of time and for a fair price. They call to let you know what is wrong and how long it will take to fix it and they have never gone over the price or time quoted to me, and in fact have sometimes come in under the original quote. Theya re very friendly and knowledgeble.

Oriental Arts Center

I love this place, they have the most wonderful stuff to see and experience, but so many people that I talk to have never even heard of it before. They are like a mini Field Museum and the items that they have there are definately first rate and yet no one ever goes here. I recommend it to anyone with kids, go check this place out. I can't remember what day it is, but one day they are donation only for admission.

The Art Institute of Chicago is definately World Class. Tuesdays are "free days" with no set admission fee, any donation you wish to make they will accept. The exhibits here are first rate, and they have something fro eveyone- whether you like your art modern, classical, primative, 3-D, the impressionists, whatever. Plus for the kids they have the swords and armor hall. Parking is expensive, but park under the park and walk over, it is not a far walk and then go see Buckingham fountain and enjoy a picnic lunch and a stroll along the lake for a great day out with the family

Women's Workout World

Considering the fact that this is a chain type business this particular location is one that is poorly designed and equipped. Many of the other women workout worlds have the tread mills set up so you can watch television while you walk or listen to music while here you get to watch the classes and have to listen to what they are listening to for each routine. I think for the prices that they charge they should be able to do a little better.

This store is wonderful whether you are just browsing or looking for something specific. The staff is very helpful and good at recommending different books. They have a great selction of Bible study materials, Christian Fiction and other Christian related products (Dr. Dobson, etc), Take public transportation/parking is expensive

Primary Healthcare Assoc

is one of the best pediatric doctors I have ever encountered. I would and often do reccommend her to anyone looking for a doctor for their children. She is very good and caring and gentle with the kids. Her office always works hard to get you in right away when you have a sick child and she has offices in Homewood and Tinley Park. She also has a wonderful memory and rememebers what the kids like and alwasy asks them about school, sports etc so they are not afraid or uncomfortable in her office

Sara Lee Bakery Outlet

If you are looking for a cake or some other dessert items at a very fair and reasonable price, then this is a place. They are hidden in the strip malll by Ace, but they always have great specials on products that are already discounted from normal grocery store prices. Plus the items are already frozen so you can take them home and store them for when you need them, like when company drops by unexpectedly.
