I took my 1st grader to allARTstudio.net to practice drawing. My child LOVES to draw. So I thought, what a perfect activity to do after school.
As I watch the teacher in the classroom that first time. A couple of things stood out:
1. The teacher would complete parts of the drawings for the student when the student didn't draw them correctly
2. It seemed like the kids would spend drawing with a pencil only a small portion of the class, but would spend the majority of the time coloring their drawing with paints
3. The teacher would scream at the kids when they would do something incorrectly
From the very first day, my child came back with really mature drawings. As much as every mother wants to believe their child is a genious, I knew there is no way mine would make such drawings JUST by following art instruction. And, indeed, I was reminded by my kid that the teacher did complete parts of the drawings.
I want to clarify that I do not need picture-perfect drawings to be sent home, that are partially completely by my child and partially completed by the teacher. I want MY CHILD'S personal drawings that come as a result of good art instruction. Even if the artwork is less than perfect. I need a teacher to teach my children drawing skills - not complete their drawings herself.
When I took art classes in college, we started with the basics - learning how to draw with dry media. We didn't start using paints until the next semester. Before learning how to paint, you first need to learn how to draw - this should be true for adults AND kids.
Now that my child has been drawing in the studio for a while, I don't see any drawing being done at home. Not something you would expect when signing your child up for art classes.
The payment process also very odd. The school does not send bills and does not remind you to pay monthly fees. When I was signing a contact, I was given 2 minutes because the teacher was rushing home after the class and I did not have enough time to read the terms and conditions. Turned out, that the contract stated that the payment is due on the 1st of each month and there a $25 late fee. For many months, I was not reminded to pay my bill and thus charged a late fee each time.
I am sorry but I work full time and have 2 children - I don't have time to think about my bills. I receive bill reminders from every other kid-related activity and I pay them on time. I rely on bills because I am very busy.
Overall, I would not recommend this art studio.
Loved this place. Everyone working there is super nice and extremely helpful. I always leave with beautiful skin and very very happy. Thank you for providing your services to me.
Auto Marin has been in Novato for quite some time now. Most of their cars are in very good conditions and they are sold for very cheap. They do not buy any cars older than 1995, although they may have some for sale. Their mechanics are also very good, so they can see your car if you are having problems with it.
Everyone knows it is really hard to find good looking boys clothes anywhere. Everything is either plaid or striped or just plain ugly. Little mens clothes looks like big mens clothes was tailored to fit them. Nothing is as interesting as it can be. Why, I have no idea!
This store, however, is great! It has a really nice assortment of clothes for boy children! Nothing is too ordinary and everything is really cool! Like, for example, not too long ago, I purchased a really simple single-color shirt for my boy with some stitching and a bright logo stitched onto a different material. Easy to create and design and looks very elegant and hip. Why cant other stores buy from the same buyer this stores buys clothes?
So, if you are looking for hip clothes for your little men go check out this store. But be prepared to spend more $$$$$$$$$.
I enjoy having my pedicure done here. I usually do my nails at another salon but prefer to do pedicures here because I have never had any problems here. The price that I get charged is pretty steep but I think it is worth the peace of mind to know that you will get a good quality job done with no risk of infection developing or disease to catch. Some salons do not sterilize their equipment, and in return, their clients end up with awful diseases. The customer service is probably four stars here sometimes they can be a bit abrupt to you on the phone when you are trying to schedule a rush-rush job. In advance calling is, of course, preferred as with any other service company.
So, I do always leave the salon satisfied. And with that, I would like to recommend it to you with all of my heart! Go, see if you like it and then make your own intelligent decision! You wont be sorry you went, I promise!
My hair is very curly and on a longer side. Not too many salons care to work on such hair. When I was getting married, I had a very hard time finding a place that would work on my hair. Some places wanted to cut it to make it easier on them, others just refused services to me. I finally found this salon where I didnt get turned down and no one offered to cut off my beauty locks. They made it up in a huge hair-do to show me how I am going to look on my big day and I loved what they did. I went to them again on the day of my wedding. It took them about 2 hours to work on my hair. When it was done, it was perfect. It was like steel no way was it going to break apart the evening during vigorous dancing. It was also very beautiful and really went well with my dress and veil and everything else. I paid A LOT for the hairdo but I think that when you are getting married you are expected to be overcharged for anything wedding-related and so I dont feel bad that I had to shell out this much money (I wont quote the price because it may scare you off.)
If you have a high occasion happening soon, go check out this establishment. I think you will find it very good for yourself.
Even though this place is a little on the expansive side it is really no regular Supercuts. The hairdressers are very knowledgeable in the latest trends and they give you the best advice possible. I could not be more satisfied, leaving their establishment. My hair cuts area always perfect and consistent. Sometimes, when a couple of hairs are not right, they will nibble on them until they get them perfect. The only drawback is that because they are so knowledgeable, they sometimes dont listen to your hair needs and desires. Like, for example, I once asked to have my hair cut a certain way but a hair dresser really thought that his experience tells him that this way will not look good on me and he did what he thought was best. I dont know if it is a positive thing about him or not, but that is what happened.
I like to do my nails, especially when I am in a hurry. In this salon, my appointments can be made really quickly or in advance and I dont wait long for each appointment when I am already IN the salon. The nail ladies are very friendly and they work super fast like machines. The work that they do is superb and I am always very satisfied when I leave, leaving them a good-sized tip (which, of course, makes them happy!!!) Unlike some of the other salons in the neighborhood, this salon is pretty clean and gets swept pretty often. I have also never gotten an infection of any sort after the work done something I cannot say about other salons (Ive heard horrible stories of people getting their pedicures and leaving with Athlete foot or even worse diseases!!!!
So, I would recommend this place to anyone! Come check it out!
Nice store with clothes that you want to try on. Prices are on the high side however. Store is so full of merchandise so that it is hard to move around in there. The way it is organized (??) it is difficult to see all that they have. I still don't think we did. We were there well over an hour and a half, bought nothing, and didn't see it all.
So, my overall conclusion dont waste your time if you are looking to buy something. If you are just spending time in the store fine!
Why go to this Banana Republic location when you can go to the one on Grant street in San Francisco? Banana Republic on Grant street in San Francisco is the largest and the greatest
