If you are looking for a nice place to have your wedding, Hotel Nikko San Francisco is probably not the best place for you. I would choose Clarion Hotel in Millbrae any time over Hotel Nikko San Francisco.
I had my wedding there and will always remember it. The hotel looks modern but their banquet room looks very sheek. The food is good and the hotel does allow you to bring your own caterer.
How would you survive without City Parking Company? They are everywhere and you can always depend on them to have a space for you. Their prices are not low but oh well
I loved dealing with this company. They are proffessional and offer very good services. I will deal with them again and again! They've got my business.
after tons of research as usual, we decided to stay here. i rely on reviews and they never seem to disappoint. however, i learned a valuable lesson about 4 and 5 star hotels. i agree that the quality was excellent- equal to kahala mandarin oriental in oahu, and close to four seasons maui, and ritz carlton cancun- the beds, linens, pillows, furniture were very nice, the rooms were very clean and quiet, the service was excellent. i thought this would be the perfect place after reading these same things. i was very disappointed though. upon arrival, my first reaction was, oh no, this couldn't be a 4 star hotel- the lobby was about like a fairfield inn, small and bland. i was expecting a grand hotel entrance with beautiful hallways and tremendous decorations. but just very plain and small. no personality. this is where i realized 4 to 5 star quality did not mean great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. it was very nice, but, i did not expect it to be so bland. the staff was excellent though and always very friendly and very, very helpful. after walking a few blocks around town, i really wished we had chosen one of the other hotels with personality, and not so bland. the lobby is small and simple with a small seating area which serves drinks at night. we were the only ones there and it was more business oriented, not somewhere you would enjoy very much for visiting with friends. decoration was new and nice, but minimal, and geometric. i would like to try the westin st. francis- it was in a great location, and it was beautiful.
I stayed here from May 15-21 and was very impressed with the hotel. When I first got there my room wasn't ready yet since I was early so they held my bags and called me a cab and I went out sightseeing. When I came back my room still wasn't ready so I was upgraded to room with a king-sized bed at no extra charge. You can't beat that!
The location of this hotel and the warm friendly service are a perfect match. High atop Pacific Heights, a beautiful neighborhood. Do not be phased by the hilltop location. Once you're there it's a charming walk to Palace of Fine Arts, Marina, Presidio, Union Street or Fillmore Street shops and restaurants. Why stay in a touristy location like Union Square, when you can be part of the city in a safe and quiet locale? Hotel service was superb. Breakfasts healthy and delicious! Was not disappointed in the Deluxe Room given for the $175/night, 3-night special package--very nice room, exceptional for the price. Parking on the weekends absolutely no problem near the hotel if you can walk one steep block. Since everything is in a downhill direction from the hotel, really enjoyed the cheap and frequent Muni ride home at the end of an active day (also one uphill block to walk "home" to hotel).
We stayed at the Orchard Hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel is clean, quiet, with a friendly staff. The room was nothing special, but was fine. The only complaint I have is that the carpet in our room really needed to be cleaned, and the furnishings were a bit worn around the edges. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location was within easy walking distance of Union Square and China Town. Overall our stay was pleasant if not extraordinary.
I stayed at the Campton Place for a business trip Feb 15 - 18th. Had a great stay. Location was good for downtown business happenings and close to night time eating, shopping...and morning coffee shops. The only drawback to this hotel is the room service is very "rich"...meaning it's tough to find your average quick meal (sandwich and fruit). Most items are "shi-shi-fu-fu". But you are able to get your basic sandwich and coffee just around the corner. Fitness center is pretty well equipped considering other hotels I've stayed at in the area. Hope this is helpful. Enjoy your stay...I did.
Stayed weekend of May 28-30 as I usually do when in SF. Experienced another great stay. They didn't have the type of room that I wanted so they upgraded me to an executive suite. Since I had to wait they took care of our bar tab in the lounge that evening. Although I have not been there in more than a year my favorite newspaper was hanging on my door every morning. Whenever the bellman that assisted me upon arrival saw us he would greet us by name. These are some of the reasons I always stay at a Four Seasons whenever possible.
