This bank has since been renamed, but it's the same staff and facilities as before. The workers are friendly, helpful, and good at explaining the complexities of banking. The facilities are clean and easily accessable. Take your banking here if you need the service, and the rates are pretty good too.
Olympia Sports is the most overrated retail store in town. The goods are wildly overpriced, the service is mediocre at best, and the selection is poor overall. They have a few pairs of shoes and some rip-off athletic clothing, but it's really not worth your trip. It's nothing that can't be found in any other retail store for less money.
Circuit City has all the appliances, computers, games, equipment, and know how that one would expect at an electronics store. However, they also have a forgiving and reasonable return policy that is absent at most Best Buys. I would actually recommend this store over any local electronics store.
To be honest, it's really nothing that special or different that makes it different from the average bowling alley, but it's still a fun time. The arcade is decent, but the real fun is in the lanes! Play a few sets, and it's a fun trip! Great for kids and adults, and also alright for parties. They have shoe rental too.
McGolf minigolf is fantastic! The holes are great, there's food and drink before and after, and if you bring some friends it's bound to be a fun night! Honestly, who doesn't have fun at McGolf? Best minigolf for miles, be sure to check it out sometime! It's great!
The Globe is Boston's best newspaper, unquestionably. Though FAR superior to the Herald, it is still a little liberal for me. The sports and business sections are top notch, though some of the politics are a little left-leaning for me. Still, a great deal and a good start to being relatively informed. Give it a try if you don't already get a paper.
You gotta love the Franklin Park Zoo. Honestly, they have all the animals! Seriously, though, the exhibits are fun and the staff is friendly. Admission isn't to bad, and if it's a nice day, you can't beat a day at the zoo with the family or friends! Take the trip to Dorchester and have a nice time!
Shop at Mortts instead of that terrible Decathalon superstore. The prices are about $30 cheaper for a pair of shoes, and their service is far more personable and nice. I get all my shoes at Mortts now instead of being ripped off at Decathalon. It's the same shoes, for less money, so there should be no question.
Star market is definitely the best grocery store around the Dedham area. The prices are the lowest, the produce the freshest and cleanest, the bakery is Kosher, and the selection is amazing. The service is quick, and the baked goods seem almost homemade! DEFINITELY go to Star Market instead of the sleazy, overprized Roche Bros. with the worse foods.
When you shop and buy clothes from Simon and Sons, you get top notch clothes, service, and alterations, from a store with every cloting accessory in the book. However, you also get slammed by pretty hefty prices. If you have the money or the occasion is really important enough, shop here. If not, go to a cheaper place. The clothes really are incredible, but the prices are a little high for me.
