I get the old and run down feeling when I visit this store and the selection isn't that great. BUT, the staff is friendly and if you need something close to home then this place will likely be able to help!
JOANN Fabrics & Crafts
This well known fabric store has a great selection of all kinds of fabrics....and even some crafty items. Sign up for their mailing list and get special coupons and sale ads. A fun place to go and get ideas!
Pacific Science Center
This is a great tourist stop and the children love it. The exhibits change all the time and are very interesting for all ages. If you have time go to the IMAX for a movie. They are incredible.
The Space Needle
Don't go here to eat-the prices are outrageous and the food is not that good. BUT DO GO for the ride to the top and see the view of the city. It's amazing!
Seattle Aquarium
we love this aquarium! Right on the pier in downtown seattle sits this beautiful aquarium. The parking is somewhat difficult, but once you get in, you will be glad you came!
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
The layout of the zoo is less than desirable and it seems pretty small. The aquarium is very nice, but overall the rest of the zoo and animals are disappointing. Go to Woodland Park in Seattle instead-it's WORTH it.
Woodland Park Zoo
They have so many animals here at this HUGE zoo and the kids just love going there. It was a little hard to find the first time we went. The parking is great (for being in Seattle) and the zoo is very well kept. We LOVE IT!
Cost Plus World Market
This is a very fun place to shop! They have all kinds of imported items and very interesting things. I love their wine selection and gift baskets in particular.
Pier 1 Imports
This store has very ecletic things and not the place to go if you are trying to get ideas. I often buy gifts here, but don't usually find anything for my taste. Clean store and it always smells good!
