This new software finds anything on your computer in less than a second. It's one of those products that, after just a few days of relying on it, makes you wonder how you ever got anything done without it. Amazing.
Flair Cleaners
This Flair Cleaners has bailed me out more than a few times with their 'same-day pick-up' service. They do regular coupon mailers making this an affordable location for weekly or regular dry cleaning.
Best Buy
This location (and possibly others I'm sure) should start incorporating a "take-a-number" waiting system in their computer department. I found myself ready to buy a computer and unable to get help. I had to practically hold on to the service rep to keep him from running off there were so many other customers hovering around with questions, etc.
Paseo Colorado Shopping Ctr
This is a great outdoor shopping center, but don't go expecting to find big chain clothing stores like Gap or JCrew. The selection of stores here are less well-known and seem to be higher end. I come here solely for dinner, drinks or movies.
Willis Tower Skydeck
This "Chicago Must-See" is over-rated. Do what the locals do when they have guests in town. Skip the $10 ticket to get to the Sears Tower Skydeck and go to the lounge at the Hancock building instead for a drink and a view that's phenomenal and just several stories short of Sears.
Rex Staioners
For special printing jobs that require care, attention and the utmost quality, I recommend Rex Staioners over the big printing firms. Rex is a family-owned business with decades of experience. I have ordered business cards, letterhead and sales brochures through the years and their work is always first-rate and professional.
Warner Bros Studios VIP Tour
Movie studio theme parks are fine and fun, but for a real studio experience, you can't beat this intimate tour in and around the legendary Warner Bros. Studio. You'll ride with a small group in a large golf cart through prop shops, costume storage and soundstages (we walked on the set of Friends). A bonus is the excellent museum within the lot that houses costumes worn by major stars (see Marilyn Monroe's) and some great memos shedding light on the drama behind the cameras of several classic films.
Tony Macias Tree Experts
We've contracted Tony Macias for our hillside home. Each year, we have to trim trees and bushes in order to comply with fire codes. Tony's team comes in and makes the necessary trims and cuts. They are quick and professional. Highly recommended.
Air Boat USA
Gliding through the Everglades in an airboat must be similar to the African savannah in a jeep, at least that's what I imagined as we cruised at high speeds for half an hour. This is a South Florida must-do for any local or tourist. We saw a couple of aligators, but this experience is not defined by gator sightings. At one point, our guide stopped the boat and got out in his bare feet to prove how safe he thought the Glades were. He then encouraged us to do the same, which we did. Do it. Go stand barefoot in the Everglades!
Oreck
We purchased an Oreck vacuum two years ago from this location. The salesman was incredibly informed about his company's product. He put on a demonstration that conviced us to buy the best model. We experienced old-fashioned, professional customer service. It's more than you expect to pay for a vacuum cleaner, but the product is first rate.
