If you're looking for preppy/prissy little kids clothing, check this place out. Lots of dresses type clothing for girls. A little different from the usual vibrant coloured kids clothing you see in other stores. Price is fairly reasonable in comparison to other brands.
This company specializes in theatrical drapery - large and small events, both ready made and custom made to fit your production. You can strike a better deal if the order is large. We rented a black sharkstooth for a week and it cost us about $115. They also offer digital printing for large backdrops and all sorts of hanging accessories.
This store offers a variety of specially designed cookie bouquets. Popular for children's parties as they have huge Disney character cookies. My company has ordered one of these before as a business gift, I have to say that it was pretty unique but the price was quite exhorbitant. Feedback was that the cookies actually tasted pretty good.
My friend and I had no choice but to stay at a hotel close to Pepperdine Uni (where we going to school at the ti) since we were a day early for check in. Can't say that we got the best sleep in our lives but it certainly could've been better. The property is clean but a little old (as you will be able to tell by the walls and furniture in the room) and has all the basic amenities in the room. If you're in town for a few days and would like to be in a comfy motel, you should try elsewhere. With what they were charging, we should have paid another $30 and gone to a better place.
Bought my first car (which was a Honda ironically) 4 years ago here. Can't way it was a great experience. I went on my own, which is usually not a very good idea especially if you're a female. It's a competitive business as we all know, so the minute you walk in, you're already being eyed by some sales person trying to meet their quota for the month. Being really inexperienced and having 3 days to get a car, I think I was literally being taken for a ride here. Could've gotten a better deal for the car if I had known to push further. Now that I've bought my 2nd car from a different dealer, which is 100% better than this place, I now realize that the sales reps over there were actually quite disrespectful to me during the whole process and that you can find a better, less stressful dealer to get your favourite Toyota from. You always learn from doing anything for the first time I guess. PS: The service department here isn't that great either.
Local florist for people living in the area. Unfortunately they have a very limited selection of flowers - when I went in today, they only had roses, carnations and orchids besides the ready made floral arrangements. I was surprised though, at the selection of hand made cards that were available instead! The lady who attended to me, Ann, is really nice and friendly.
I was overjoyed when I found out that this dry cleaning place offers clothing alterations and repair. How convenient! The alterations are done well and is cheaper than what most clothing store would charge you.
Raitt Recital Hall is located at Pepperdine University's campus. It was funded by the late broadway legend, John Raitt, and his wife Rosemary Raitt. This venue holds a string of professional recitals thru the year under the Stotsenberg Recital Series program. A lot of the artists are new and upcoming talents who have performed all over the world. World reknowned classical guitarist Christopher Parkening holds master classes here as well. Lovely venue, seats about 120 people and the space is available for rent for recording sessions.
Smothers Theatre is the only Performing Arts Center in Malibu which hosts more than 200 performances a season. Some of the top entertainers that have performed here are Jubilant Sykes, RSC, Rita Moreno, Manhattan Transfer, Blind Boys of Alabama, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dave Brubeck, John Raitt amongst many others. Good selection of International performing groups such as Bahia, The Children of Uganda, Leahy, New Shanghai Circus, etc...
Ticket prices range between $35 - $80 depending on the show. This, in comparison to a lot of other performing arts venues is reasonable. Reason being the theatre itself is small and intimate. It only seats 450 people. No matter where you are in the theatre, it's like you're sitting in the orchestra section. Pick up a brochure, you might find something that is of interest.
This is what Mimio is all about - the artistry of paper. It's no ordinary stationery store. Everything in here is top of the line, unique and beautiful. If you're looking for oriental style papers, gift wrap, etc... this is the place. They do have their own line of stationery which I haven't seen anywhere else. Lovely store layout, everything is displayed very simply but beautiful at the same time. Also, they do offer creative workshops where you can learn all sorts of arts and crafts.
