This Victoria's Secret store/ retailer is a little small. They didn't carry the things I was looking for (swimwear) and the sales associates were a little uptight and not very helpful. It was crowded and the piles of lingerie and other undergarmets were a mess! Granted, it is expected at a sale, but this just added more to my irritation of the store! I would reccomend the Sun Valley Mall's Victoria's Secret- they are MUCH better organized.
Hilltop Mall is a little far away from where I live so I haven't been there much. They have the same things as The other Malls that are closer to me (Stoneridge, Sunvalley, etc) like Macy*s, and other department stores. They don't have a better selection, necessarily, but they have good customer service- especially in the shoe department of Macy*s. It is an average size mall. Nice selection of clothing stores!
This is a nice Barnes and Noble, fully equipped with a cafe ((starbucks, what else)) and they have some pretty nice books there for kids, teens, adults, they even have HOW - TO books like how to knit, how to cook, etc. There are some nifty things there while checking out, like bookmarks, and little mini- how- to books. They have a section dedicated to books on pets. Dog breeds, cat breeds, what breed is right for you, how to recognize problems, etc, etc. It is a nice bookstore, but not as big or as nice as the one in Pleasant Hill.
This is a nice music store, although very crowded. They sell guitars, violins, cellos, and flutes. I'm not so sure about the selection. They also rent out the instruments if you just want to try it out or can't afford buying one. They sell Music Books ( for piano, violin, etc) as well as rosin, strings, bows, etc. It is a nice place and they offer quality goods and the people are very nice. it is a slight bit expensive, though. Storefront parking is limited, but if you are willing to walk a little there is a really nice parking lot.
This is probably a place for those really neat type people. The store offers- you guessed it- containers! They have them in all sizes and shapes as well as colors. But it's mainly storage boxes, some desks with neat designs, garbage cans, etc. They even carry a limited assortment of wrapping paper/ cards! They have nifty things that are really cute from time to time. Great for organizing you closet/ home, or if you need to store stuff (Christmas decorations is a good example). The parking is limited, and since it is on a busy street is is dangerous if you are not careful. I would suggest parking near Fresh Choice or Ross.. in that parking lot since it is bigger and safer.
This is one of the more widely known airports in the world, along with LAX, etc. San Francisco International Airport. Oakland Airport is closer to Walnut Creek, but whatever- I like SFO more. It is clean, and you get through with everything nice and fast. If you need help there are always personell there for you. There is parking, if you brought your car, and I think they charge by the hour. Anyways, There are small little shops inside the airport. You can geet coffee, juice, a smoothie, or a bite to eat there in one of their many restaraunts. There are clear windows so you can see where your plane is. It is a really nice view. Gret airport!
This place carries clothes, mostly black and red, with some punk / rock n roll mixed in for good measure. They sell many other things like little gadgets and gizmos (such as) calendars, planners, wrist bands, jewlery/ accessories, and things for room decoration like lamps, and many other things decorated with "happy bunny". But mainly, they sell clothes. They have T- Shirts, Pants, Sweatshirts, and a lot of other things emblemed either by a skull, happy bunny, or some other thing. But the location you shop at matters, too, because the items vary from store to store.
This is a little girl's paradise! One that likes Hello Kitty, that is. They carry EVERYTHING Hello Kitty and Friends brand. For example, when I last stepped into this store shopping with some little girls, I let them loose and they brought back hello kitty waffle makers, toasters, hair straighteners, TV's, notepads, stickers, stuffed animals.. It hurts my head remembering all that. And the electrical gadgets like the waffle maker, toaster, hair straightener, TV, etc could be really expensive! This place is nice for those little girls you know who just LOVE Hello Kitty. Expensive, but worth it when their little faces light up with joy!
I went here last year to get my nails done because I thought I'd try a new nail salon. Well let me tell you neither me nor my hands were very satisfied! The place smells horrible, there is a really dimunitive selection of nail polish, and the seating is terrible! The place was small and crowded, and it was just old smelly carpet. I doubt they even sanitize their tools! They buffed my nails, trimmed them, polished them, and I'm thinking, "Wow. What a lousy job. I could have done better by myself at home!". So I would really not reccomend this place. The place to go to get your nails done at a fair price is IN STYLE NAILS in downtown Walnut Creek!
This is a really nice bookstore that just got it's name changed to Borders (they are pretty much the same thing, so it really doesn't make much of a difference). They sell all kinds of books as well as comic books, magazines, bookmarks, giftcards, etc. The staff isn't all that nice, but they are ok. The prices are average, but the space that this place has is really minimal. Still, it's a nice place to pick up a good book while shopping in the Mall.
