We were referred to Dr. Gidan by a friend who swore he was the best pediatric dentist in town, and she was right. He's our son's first dentist and may well be his only dentist as he goes through his school years. Every visit is fun and painless and for good brushing habits he is always rewarded with a trip to the treasure chest - which doesn't contain candy or toothbrushes, but fun things like vampire teeth... my son loves this dentist, the office and the staff... we highly recommend Dr. Gidan. He's so popular though - you must book your next appointment as soon as you finish one... at least 3 months in advance...

Tender Treasures

What a true treasure - worth the trip to Montrose - this little shop has such cute kids clothes - a great place to buy a gift - you'll definitely find some treasures here. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles

Fried chicken doesn't get anybetter - unless your southern grandma is cooking it in her own kitchen and you have a seat at her dining table... this is THE best and most authentic Sounthern Fried Chicken you can get - this far west... and the waffles - forget about it - oh so good - if you've never had the combo - you must try - plus you can order catering size portions and take out - this is a fabulous option for your next sports viewing party... football season?

Laurel Tavern

This little local hangout is quite a cozy club - some great seating at the bar or on the couches along the wall - great drinks, reasonable prices and a juke box so you call the tunes and it's not too loud to have a conversation - one of the better laid back clubs on this Ventura strip.

State Farm Insurance

I've been with State Farm since I started driving - my dad put me on his policy - so when i moved to California 8 years ago and had to find an agent of my own i just found the nearest location and calle thier offcie - Claudia the receptionist was and still is wonderfull - my agent is Robin Kaswick - and though i hate to admit that we have needed her services on a few occasions - i'm happy to report that she was amazingly thorough and so nice to work with! The insuarance rates are a bit higher than some carriers - but the reliability and service are well worth the extra - we are customers for life.

MAC Cosmetics --CLOSED

Mac always has the newest hippest color pallette - their staff at this location is very trendy - they will give you a makeover - just make an appointment - but if your style is not that wild, make sure and let them know so they tone it down a bit - their lipsticks are thier trademark - great intense color and long wearing formula. Going mid day and mid week is best - not so crowded

Joniciue Cosmetic & Aesthetic Center

I got a spa package deal - special, 2 for the price of 1 - 4 visits - something different at each visit - the first 2 visits were fine - though the atmosphere left something to be desired, the massage was ok, the facial fine - neither used great products and i doubt that the technicians had ever attended any training... but anyway - when i went back for the 3rd service i happened to notice that the products they used for my massage were yeardley lotions - you buy these at the dollar store - and that explained my breakout - my full back was broken out for over a month - i still have discoloration and some scarring from it - not only would i not go back - but i would tell anyone considering them to steer clear. And in the future - i will always ask about the products they are using before i get a massage!

I worked as a temp for this agency when i started looking for a full time job in the Glendale area - I went to work right away on a couple of temp assignments and they soon found me a permanent job with all the perks that i was looking for - they were able to match my previous salary which was great. I loved that they honed in on exactly what type of job i was looking for and didn't send me on a million job interviews that weren't in the ball park - all interviews were jobs i would want and the placement happened quickly. I happened on this place when we moved to town and we love them - great service - they do a great job on all our cleaning - pressing is great - have not had one thing come back unsatisfactory. Turnaround time is great - and they will do same dauy service if you need it.
